Background / History

Spirit Sword Mountain received one of the seven sacred artifacts bestowed by the Heavenly Dao during the ancient era: the Spirit Mirror, controlled by its founding patriarch. After roughly a millennium of inheritance, a later sect master—obsessed with swordsmanship—altered the sect’s name from “Mirror” to “Sword.” 42

The sect developed into the foremost sword-dao power among the Southern Immortal Sects. Its strength was particularly pronounced under Heaven Sword Peak, which repeatedly clashed with the Celestial Academy without falling behind. 59

Internal divisions intensified after the Spirit Mirror’s wielder and the sect master ceased to be the same person. Heaven Sword Peak sought greater influence and favored an alliance with the Dao Seeking Sect, while Yan Shuyi and Mystic Sword Peak opposed that course. 83
