July 18th, the opening ceremony was held.
All the new students gathered in the auditorium. Dean Zhou Qinfeng gave a welcome speech onstage, while lecturers from the various departments stood on either side.
The students had little interest in Zhou Qinfeng's stock phrases. Most of them were watching Guan Tong and whispering among themselves.
"I came to this academy to study under Lecturer Shi Jingyi, but she was replaced? I really can't stand it."
"Yeah. Looks like she really did follow through on what she said and joined the earthquake relief effort. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been injured badly enough to need recuperation."
"Does anyone know anything about this new Acting Lecturer?"
"The official website barely has any information. All we know is that his name is Guan Tong. Was he an Excellent Graduate from the previous class?"
"I asked a senior who never missed a single Mind Power Circulation class last year. He said he'd never seen this guy in class."
"I spent half a year taking Online Courses before coming here, building up my foundation. If this Acting Lecturer isn't up to par, we should file a complaint with the academy."
Most of the students' whispers concerned Guan Tong. It was not because he was the only new lecturer, but because the course he taught was important and mandatory, drawing the most attention.
After the enrollment ceremony ended, classes would officially begin the next day.
But besides their courses, the students were also paying attention to the new Apocalypse Rules.
The next rule would be released on August 1st. With only a little over ten days left, everyone felt somewhat uneasy.
The reason was simply that the rule Earth Dragon Turns Over had left too deep a psychological scar on everyone.
