Today was the first lesson, and the students had all arrived early.
There were a great many students enrolled in this course, so it was being held in the academy's largest classroom.
Some of them also had extraordinary backgrounds. Some were clearly elites who had received meticulous training, while others were Ascenders who had already gained some fame online.
They had chosen to spend a valuable year at the academy partly because they wanted to improve themselves further and increase their strength.
But they also had social needs. Compared to other groups, Academy Students had a longer average survival time. That meant they would not have to worry about someone they had only just met disappearing after a single rule.
Furthermore, judging by how the first graduating class had been assigned to positions in North Star's various Official Departments, the groups formed by Academy Students were bound to become highly influential in society in the future.
As everyone chatted among themselves, a girl entered the classroom and immediately drew every eye toward her.
She looked seventeen or eighteen, with cool, pale skin and deep-set eyes. Her irises were an exceedingly rare amethyst color, and even her eyelashes were an unusual silver-white. Her long light-gold hair was swept up beneath a crown adorned with freshwater pearls, making her look exceptionally noble.
She wore a short teal down robe, its collar embroidered with an eagle-feather pattern. The platinum chain at her waist shimmered with the movement of light, creating a dazzling impression.
Her luxurious attire and stunning beauty left every student in the classroom, male and female alike, staring blankly. Only after she found an empty seat in the front row and sat down did everyone begin whispering among themselves.
"Who is that? She's so beautiful!"
