Weilanko immediately sent a voice message to Dream Boat One.
The message was straightforward: Robert was to slow the rocket and change course first, then relinquish supreme control and let the North Star Space Administration take over.
After sending the message, there was no response for a long time.
Weilanko's heart sank. He knew Zhang Minglu and Guan Tong might have been right—Robert truly harbored ill intentions.
He hurriedly sent several more messages, questioning him.
Not long after those messages were sent, Robert unexpectedly initiated a real-time voice call request.
Weilanko accepted it.
The moment the call connected, he demanded, "Robert, why are you doing this? Have you forgotten that you're a Suoloma astronaut? And outside of work, we've been friends for nearly twenty years. Do you really want to spread Scarlet Fear to me?!"
After a moment of silence from the communicator, a somewhat hoarse voice sounded.
"Weilanko, you don't understand. I'm trying to help you."
Though the tone sounded completely unlike his usual self, it was indeed Robert's voice.
Weilanko was utterly baffled. "You call letting me suffer damage from the Rules helping me? What do you mean?"
"Helping you find release, Weilanko," Robert said. "Otherwise, when the devils truly descend, you'll only bear even more terrible pain."
The tone and content of Robert's words carried an eerie wickedness that made goosebumps rise all over Weilanko and the others.
"What the hell are you?!" Weilanko snapped. "The Robert I know would never say something like that!"
Zhang Minglu, standing nearby, cut in with a question. "Devils descending? Are the 'devils' you mentioned referring to this Rule? Scarlet Fear has already been defeated and driven back by our Ascendant. This Rule will end soon as well. Why do you say we'll suffer even more pain?"
The channel fell silent
