Because the figure on the stage was only a projection, the Soul Eye could not observe the other's soul state. However, since the Black Robe Duke was unharmed, that meant Ogulvi was not dead.
This led to several possibilities.
The Black Robe Duke was not Ogulvi's clone, though this possibility was highly unlikely.
Although Tuzray had never admitted it personally, a few years ago on the Thane Plateau, he had stepped in to stop Rayne from killing the King of Green Dragons Deep Azure with a Star Destroyer. They had spoken privately then, and Tuzray's words and actions had tacitly confirmed that he was Ogulvi.
There was another possibility: Tuzray was not the clone. He was actually Master Ogulvi's true body!
"That can't be..."
Rayne immediately rejected the idea. He had met the Black Robe Duke face-to-face many times, and the Soul Eye had seen him clearly. Tuzray was a Level 24 Soul Saint Wizard.
Even with Ogulvi's strength, he could not deceive the Soul Eye.
Besides, Ogulvi did not know that the Soul Eye existed.
"Could the one who was just killed have been only a clone as well?" Rayne was filled with uncertainty. This possibility seemed the most likely.
