Ogulvi saw his cold expression and let out an unpleasant laugh. "Don't worry. I'm not planning to trade that divine artifact with you. I know you wouldn't agree."
"You can't trade something that doesn't exist." Reslin spread his hands, indicating that he really had no divine artifact.
"Heh..."
Ogulvi clearly didn't believe him, but he didn't press the matter. Instead, he said seriously, "What I want is the knowledge behind those gems. If you could give me a few directly, that would be even better."
"They're Miracle Gems," Reslin said softly.

"I made them." Reslin nodded and admitted it. There was no way to hide it from Ogulvi.

The pale-purple tentacles beneath Ogulvi's chin began to tremble. The withered tentacles writhed like dead snakes, revealing his excitement. Raising his voice slightly, he said, "Tell me how to make Miracle Gems, and I'll support you in becoming Emperor of the Aurelian Empire. The Empire will be yours!"
He had expected Reslin to agree readily.
Instead, Reslin's expression didn't change at all. He shook his head. "I don't agree to this trade."
"Oh?" Ogulvi was somewhat taken aback. "You've schemed for so long just
