Rayne's eyes lit up. Shocked, yet feeling that it made perfect sense, he thought, Only the blood of a deity could possess such terrifying power!
Deities were the greatest beings in Aerenus.
Whether naturally born gods or mortals who had ascended to godhood, they were the most powerful creatures in the world. Their bodies, blood, words, and wills all contained Divine Power capable of destruction and creation, along with countless wondrous applications.
In short, deities were the embodiment of all the might that mortals could imagine.
Even just four drops of divine blood were priceless.
Rayne stepped forward. After confirming that the four drops of divine blood posed no danger, he confidently activated the Soul Eye and looked through the amber, trying to see more clearly.
Soon, he noticed something unusual.
He had initially thought the egg-shaped amber was merely a container holding the divine blood, or perhaps a special outer shell. But after carefully observing it, he realized that was not the case. The amber shell had completely fused with the divine blood. Its material was impossible to identify, and it had clearly been altered by Divine Power. Its texture was incredibly tough. Not only was it difficult to destroy, but it also possessed astonishing functions.
Even without testing it himself, Rayne could tell from experience that he probably lacked the strength to break the amber and extract the divine blood.
This was an artificial—no, divine-made magic item, with the divine blood serving as its core.
An item made by a deity was an artifact!

Rayne's eyes widened, and his breathing grew heavier.
Pure divine blood was, at most, an expensive Alchemical Material. Once used, it was gone. But an artifact was countless times more precious than divine blood!
Only deities could forge
