Story Hiatus Notice

I've been sitting in front of the computer for several hours.

The events in the next chapter were decided before I even started writing the book. They're also the main storyline, and everyone has probably guessed that the next volume, "Golden Throne," will officially begin unfolding them.

The whole book has nine volumes. Volume Six will end in a few days, and the book will be about 70% complete by then—that means at least four million words!

I've been deliberately suppressing the protagonist's level, and the fact that Rayne's true body hasn't reached Level 20 is related to that. Overall, though, Rayne's level has still been following the outline, increasing by one level every 150,000 words or so on average.

There's also Rayne's relationship with his teacher. I'm still thinking about how to write it.

How each Soul Saint Wizard will react to what Rayne is going to do, what position they'll take, and how things will develop in the future... I spent several hours on all these details and still couldn't figure them out. I went back and looked through my own setting materials—a 120,000-word Excel file—as well as the previous chapters, and that alone took several hours. I still haven't managed to sort everything out...

Please let me take a day off to think it over properly, and work on the outline for the next volume while I'm at it.

If I can update tomorrow afternoon, there will only be two chapters. If not... I don't dare make any promises. I'm afraid of getting beaten up!

I'm off to keep pulling out my hair...
