Ch. 359Princess of Dragon Crystal Island

Rayne learned that Emilith was the exiled Princess of Dragon Crystal Island and that she wanted his help reclaiming the Politoxi Mine and restoring her family’s dynasty in Kongator. He accepted that a limited private war might be possible and asked what she would offer in return.

  • Emilith revealed that she was Emilith Zhuogengbao, the last Dragonkin of Kongator’s overthrown royal family, and explained that the Politoxi Mine lay within her family’s former holdings.
  • Emilith told Rayne that the mine could produce 150,000 pounds of mithril and substantial Source Crystal Ore each year.
  • Rayne warned that asking the Empire or Wezelan Floating City to invade Kongator could provoke the Seven Gods, but Emilith proposed a limited campaign against the Lauberdier Family using private forces.
  • Emilith said she could gather 5,000 Centaurs and more than 500 Transcendent mercenaries, and asked for Wizerland Wizards and possibly Rayne’s private forces to join them.
  • Rayne was persuaded that Emilith’s plan might work and asked her what price she would pay for his help.

Ch. 360Money Makes Even Wizards Work

Emilith offered the Wizerland Wizard Order a fortune and territory in exchange for helping her reclaim the Zhuogengbao kingdom, and Rayne agreed to seek the Council of Six’s approval. She then offered herself as another reward, and Rayne accepted; the chapter ended with them waking together the next morning.

  • Emilith offered tiered payments to the Wizards and up to thirty million Gold Shields to the Floating City for its help restoring her kingdom.
  • Emilith explained how she had uncovered Wizerland’s financial troubles and said she could pay five million Gold Shields in advance.
  • Emilith promised Rayne the Politoxi Mine and a countship containing a Mithril mine, and Rayne agreed to support her proposal before his teacher and the Council of Six.
  • Emilith offered herself to Rayne, and they spent the night together.
  • Rayne woke beside Emilith, and she playfully bit his head after he called her the future queen.

Ch. 361Winter Is Coming

Rayne told Ansiwodoss about Emilith’s plan to restore Kongator and secure funding for Wizerland Floating City, leading the Council of Six to approve wizard support for the war. After Emilith paid the first installment and investigators verified her identity, Wizerland prepared its force while Rayne sought a chance to become a Legendary Wizard.

  • Rayne visited Ansiwodoss, who praised his rapid advancement and guided him on becoming a Legendary Wizard.
  • Rayne explained Emilith’s identity and offer of thirty million Gold Shields to help repay Wizerland’s debts, and Ansiwodoss agreed to investigate and consider her request.
  • The Council of Six unanimously approved sending thirty elite Wizards and two Low-Tier Legendary Wizards to support Emilith’s restoration war, with Rayne joining as Count of Glamorgan.
  • Rayne told Emilith the council’s decision, and she celebrated with him.
  • Emilith paid five million Gold Shields, investigators confirmed her identity, and Wizerland selected its force as Rayne searched for a chance to become a Legendary Wizard.

Ch. 362Dragon's Call

Rayne and Emilith sailed toward Haitok as they prepared for Emilith’s restoration of the Zhuogengbao Dynasty and discussed her fears about returning to Kongator. Rayne agreed to help her use Dragon’s Call to defeat three legendary dragons and secure their support for the coming war.

  • Mercenaries aboard the ship gossiped about Rayne and Emilith while Bigbel brooded alone over losing her affection.
  • Rayne and Emilith spent the night together before he looked toward the approaching coastline of the Balshi Sea Kingdom.
  • Emilith told Rayne that Haitok felt more like home than Kongator and admitted she feared the people would reject her claim.
  • Rayne reassured Emilith that she could govern better than King Siria, whose atrocities had destroyed the Zhuogengbao Dynasty’s reputation.
  • Rayne explained that Emilith’s heirloom, Dragon’s Call, could summon legendary dragons to swear oaths, and agreed to help her defeat three chosen dragons.

Ch. 363The Hot-Headed Bros

Rayne and Emilith arrived in Haitok on a covert mission to meet Valrogan, while Rayne observed the city and its Storm-worshiping inhabitants. The chapter ended as Rayne identified the young man waiting beside Valrogan as a distant Dragonkin descendant and Storm Priestess whose soul color turned hostile upon seeing him.

  • Rayne and Emilith disembarked in Haitok in disguise, leaving the mercenaries and meeting their waiting escort.
  • Emilith noticed Bigbel's hostility toward Rayne and considered transferring him if he could not accept their relationship.
  • Rayne rode through Haitok and witnessed the Mokh people's frequent brawls and their devotion to the Lord of Storms, Cthulra.
  • Rayne recognized Valrogan, Emilith's trusted Legendary Wizard and intelligence chief, waiting at the estate with a young relative of the Zhuogengbao Family.
  • Rayne used the Soul Eye to determine that the young man had one-quarter Dragonkin blood and was a Storm Priestess, then saw the man's soul color turn red.

Ch. 364Turning Hostile to My Face

Emilith’s allies prepared to invade the Kongator Kingdom, while Valrogan revealed a scandal that could fracture the ruling families. The chapter ended with Wetherley condemning Emilith’s relationship with Rayne and demanding she protect the Dragonkin bloodline.

  • Wetherley Zhuogengbao openly showed hostility toward Rayne as Emilith returned to Valrogan’s manor in Haitok.
  • Valrogan reported that mercenaries and supplies were being gathered, and Emilith chose Dragon Crystal Island as the invasion’s first target.
  • Rayne offered to use a Teleportation Array to help seize Dragon Crystal Island, and Valrogan agreed to provide the materials.
  • Valrogan revealed that Queen Dans’s children were fathered by her brother Coster, and Emilith ordered the secret spread throughout the Kongator Kingdom.
  • After dinner, Wetherley confronted Emilith about sleeping with Rayne and argued that their relationship threatened the Zhuogengbao Family’s future and Dragonkin succession.

Ch. 365One Sword, One Decapitation

Rayne rejected the demand that the Dragonkin Family change its surname to Augustus and challenged Wetherley’s claim that only he could father Dragonkin with Emilith. After learning the Blood Soul Curse made Wetherley essential to the family’s survival, Rayne declared that he did not have the curse, and Emilith decapitated Wetherley.

  • Rayne refused to let the Dragonkin Family change its surname and insulted Wetherley by calling him a bastard in Kongator Language.
  • Wetherley attacked Rayne, but Dinglaji, Astan, and Valrogan restrained him while Emilith shielded Rayne.
  • Wetherley claimed he alone could father Dragonkin with Emilith, and she explained how the Blood Soul Curse and Dragon Souls shaped the family’s inheritance.
  • Wetherley boasted that he could restore the family with the Church of the Storm, but Rayne said he did not have the Blood Soul Curse.
  • Emilith believed Rayne and cut off Wetherley’s head with her sword.

Ch. 366Frost Sea Dragon

Emilith killed Wetherley, spared Bigbel, and told Rayne about her hope to have children with him, but Rayne warned that their descendants could face incest or lose the Dragonkin bloodline. The pair traveled to a remote island in the Thousand Islands Sea to summon a Frost Sea Dragon and pursue a Dragon Oath.

  • Emilith killed Wetherley, and Dinglaji stopped Bigbel from taking his own life before Emilith allowed him to keep serving her.
  • Emilith asked Rayne about the Blood Soul Curse, and he revealed that fusing with the Will of Truth had removed it.
  • Emilith urged Rayne to have children with her, but he refused to risk their children committing incest and asked her to wait several years.
  • Rayne and Emilith left Haitok and traveled by ship to a remote, glacier-covered island in the Thousand Islands Sea.
  • Emilith blew Dragon's Call, and a massive white Frost Sea Dragon leaped from the sea in response.

Ch. 367Frozen Sea Domain

Rayne and Emilith summoned the Frost Sea Dragon Xindala to invoke the Dragon Oath, but Xindala refused and fought them. Rayne gained the upper hand despite her Frozen Sea Domain, and the chapter ended with both of them plunging into the sea.

  • Emilith asked Xindala to conclude a Dragon Oath, but the Frost Sea Dragon refused and offered treasure instead.
  • When Emilith insisted, Xindala recognized Rayne as a Dragon Slayer and attacked with her Freezing Dragon Breath.
  • Rayne and Emilith countered Xindala’s attacks, and Rayne resisted her dragon breath, magic, and ice spears while striking her with his war hammer.
  • Xindala unleashed her Frozen Sea Domain and cast repeated ice spells, but Rayne used Dragon Roar to interrupt her breath and land on her back.
  • Xindala tried to shake Rayne off by rolling through the sky, then plunged headfirst into the sea with him still holding on.

Ch. 368Dragonbane Nitpicker

Rayne subdued the Frost Sea Dragon, allowing Emilith to bind her with Dragon's Call and gain a Dragonkin Apostle level. After returning to Haitok with Xindala, they set out to find Emilith's next dragon, a reclusive Red Bronze Dragon in the Stano Mountains.

  • Rayne endured Xindala's underwater attacks, then strangled her with a magically reinforced chain until she surrendered and agreed to the Dragon Oath.
  • Emilith and Xindala formed their Dragon's Call bond, and the divine power strengthened both of them; Emilith became a Level 12 Dragonkin Apostle.
  • Xindala took human form, met Rayne, and learned he was a Dragon Knight, though he concealed Osiria and claimed to have no dragon.
  • Xindala retrieved and sealed her hoard before returning with Rayne and Emilith to Haitok, where she remained aloof and repeatedly antagonized Rayne.
  • Emilith, Rayne, and Xindala traveled to the Stano Mountains to seek a reclusive Red Bronze Dragon, and Emilith's horn summoned a dragon from the mountaintop.

Ch. 369The Red Bronze Dragon Who Laughed Easily

Emilith summoned Galadros, a Red Bronze Dragon, to sign the Dragon Oath, but he initially tried to dissuade her from restoring the Dragonkin. Rayne won Galadros over with jokes, and Galadros signed the oath with Emilith, who advanced to Level 13 and entered the Legendary Intermediate Tier.

  • Galadros startled Emilith with a mock attack, then introduced himself to Rayne and admitted he did not want to lose three hundred years of freedom by signing the Dragon Oath.
  • Emilith insisted she could not abandon her mission, and Galadros learned that Rayne and Emilith were lovers and that Rayne had Wizerland's support.
  • After Xindala told Galadros he had no chance against Rayne, he offered to sign the oath if Rayne could amuse him with jokes or riddles.
  • Rayne told Galadros several jokes, making him laugh so hard that he eagerly asked Rayne to become his Dragon Knight, but Rayne refused because he already had a dragon companion.
  • Emilith activated Dragon's Call and completed the Dragon Oath with Galadros, strengthening both their souls and advancing Emilith to Level 13.

Ch. 371He Took Another Look

Rayne, Emilith, Galadros, and Xindala traveled to the Zhuoken Tribe to meet its chieftain, Naqi, after leaving Galadros’s book-filled lair. Rayne spotted a Magic Airship from Pallas Floating City and recognized someone in its window.

  • Galadros showed Rayne and the others his study, packed all its books into his dimensional belt, and left his lair with them the next day.
  • Rayne and the others flew south across the prairie toward the Zhuoken Tribe, and Galadros said he would follow Rayne after the Dragon Oath ended in three hundred years.
  • Emilith summoned Phantom Warhorses, and the group rode into the Zhuoken Tribe’s camp, where she planned to meet the chieftain Naqi.
  • Rayne saw a Magic Airship bearing the symbol of Duke Redstone’s Pallas Floating City and spotted a figure in one of its windows.

Ch. 372Centaur Chieftain

Rayne recognized Milton aboard an airship from Pallas Floating City and suspected he was connected to the Wizards there. At Kass, Chieftain Naqi agreed to send warriors against Kongatorro but explained that Pallas had doubled the Zhuoken Tribe’s taxes, leaving its ability to join the expedition uncertain.

  • Rayne recognized Milton on the airship and inferred that he was a level 5 Wizard connected to Pallas Floating City.
  • Emilith and Rayne met Chieftain Naqi at Kass, where Naqi welcomed them and Rayne sensed that Naqi was wary despite his enthusiasm.
  • Naqi offered five thousand Zhuoken warriors for the expedition against Kongatorro, then raised concerns about the tribe’s finances.
  • Naqi told Emilith that Pallas had doubled the tribe’s annual tax to two hundred thousand Gold Shields, leaving little money to support its people or send warriors to fight.

Ch. 373Crimson Flame Sword Guard

Rayne and Emilith negotiated with Naqi for the Zhuoken Tribe’s support, then Rayne secretly marked the Pallas airship before the group headed toward the Stano Mountains. He asked the others to continue to the Deep Mud Swamp while he went back to handle something.

  • Rayne used the Soul Eye to realize Naqi exaggerated the Zhuoken Tribe’s financial hardship to demand more aid.
  • Emilith agreed to give Naqi 300,000 Gold Shields, paying 100,000 immediately and promising the rest when 5,000 centaur warriors reached the docks north of Haitok.
  • Naqi told Emilith and Rayne that Lady Phyllis and the Legendary Wizard Rokanan were aboard the Pallas airship.
  • Rayne identified the airship’s Crimson Flame Sword Guards and secretly flicked a tiny dart onto its envelope as he left the camp.
  • Rayne, Emilith, Galadros, and Xindala traveled toward the Stano Mountains, where Rayne asked the others to continue to the Deep Mud Swamp without him.

Ch. 374Orcs Never Become Slaves

Rayne parted ways with Emilith and the two dragons to pursue Phyllis, disguising himself as a powerful orc so Duke Redstone could not identify him. After claiming and taming a Wind Rider as a mount, he set off toward the Zhuoken Tribe.

  • Rayne gave Emilith a black iron ring containing a marker so he could find her again, then let Galadros carry her and the other dragon toward the Deep Mud Swamp.
  • Rayne devised a disguise to hide from Duke Redstone's Light and Shadow Rewind spell and transformed himself into a Dragonmaw Clan orc warrior.
  • Rayne forged orcish armor and a massive axe, then traveled through the Stano Mountains in search of a flying mount.
  • Rayne ambushed a Wind Rider from an Any Door, subdued it, and tamed it with Pet Master.
  • Rayne healed the Wind Rider, mounted it after it woke, and ordered it to take off.

Ch. 375The Axe Technique from the Heavens

Rayne reached Thorn Ridge, where he posed as the Legendary Orc Broxigar to spread misleading clues about his identity. He tracked the Pallas Floating City airship east and began an attack from high above as it passed below him.

  • Rayne landed at Thorn Ridge on his Wind Rider and drew the settlement's attention with his imposing appearance.
  • Rayne entered a tavern, ate and drank, and told the owner his name was Broxigar before asking about the airship from Pallas Floating City.
  • Rayne left Thorn Ridge and waited until his metal marker showed that the airship was heading east toward a Centaur tribe.
  • Rayne flew ahead of the airship, waited above its route, and leaped from the Wind Rider with his great axe as the airship approached.

Ch. 376Mind Blast

Rayne attacked the airship carrying Rokanan, Phyllis, Milton, and the Crimson Flame Sword Guards, then destroyed its balloon and power furnace. After Rokanan’s Mind Blast failed to affect him, Rayne slaughtered the guards and charged at the remaining enemies on the lower deck.

  • Rayne drank a Berserk Beast Blood Potion and plunged through the airship’s invisible balloon, crashing into its interior and causing it to descend.
  • Rokanan tried to ambush Rayne through an Any Door, but Rayne destroyed the arcane power furnace and cut down two Crimson Flame Sword Guards on the upper deck.
  • Rokanan trapped Rayne briefly with Banishment and struck him with a Fifth Circle Mind Blast, but Rayne remained unaffected.
  • Rayne used Critical Annihilation to slaughter the Crimson Flame Sword Guards surrounding him, then leaped to the lower deck.
  • Milton and the other wizards attacked Rayne with spells, summoned creatures, and sonic waves as Rayne charged toward them.

Ch. 377Slaying His Enemy

Rayne slaughtered the wizards aboard the damaged airship, overcoming Rokanan’s magic and Phyllis’s Soul Rend. After destroying the airbag, he killed the fleeing Phyllis as the airship plummeted.

  • Rayne killed the Crimson Flame Sword Guards, Milton, and several wizards despite their attacks.
  • Rokanan threatened Rayne with Duke Redstone’s retaliation, but Rayne revealed he was Broxigar and said he had left the Dragonmaw Clan.
  • Rayne ruptured the airbag, sending the airship spinning toward the ground, then killed the High Tier Psion who tried to flee.
  • Phyllis used a Seventh Circle Soul Rend scroll, but Rayne resisted it, and she fled from the airship.
  • Rayne stunned Phyllis with Dragon Roar and killed her with his great axe.

Ch. 378A Huge Windfall

Rayne defeated Rokanan after destroying the airship and used his powers to counter the wizard’s spells. He looted the wreck’s treasure and fled north, leaving the airship and its dead behind.

  • Rayne killed Phyllis and escaped the falling airship as Rokanan watched from the sky.
  • Rokanan recognized Rayne’s resistance to psychic magic as the Will of Truth, but True Sight still showed him an orc.
  • Rayne used the Key of the Gate to predict Rokanan’s Blink destinations and forced him into an Ice Barrier.
  • When the barrier melted, Rayne stunned Rokanan with Dragon Roar and killed him with his great axe, then invested the absorbed Soul Power in Critical Annihilation and Strength.
  • Rayne collected Rokanan’s and Phyllis’s enchanted items, then found over a million Gold Shields and valuable cargo in the wreck.
  • Rayne took the coins and the most valuable goods, burned the wreckage, and flew north on the Wind Rider.

Ch. 379Leafing Through the Diary

Rayne left the grasslands as Pallas Floating City announced a bounty for Broxigar, then read Phyllis’s encrypted diary while traveling toward the Deep Mud Swamp. The diary revealed Phyllis’s secret relationship with Duke Redstone, her role in the attempted assassination of Viola, and the Duke’s disappearance to conduct major magical research.

  • After Montalin investigated the airship wreck, he identified Broxigar as the culprit and announced a bounty of one million Gold Shields for his head and one hundred thousand for information about his whereabouts.
  • Rayne crossed the Stano Mountains, disguised himself as an ordinary human Ranger, and flew toward the Deep Mud Swamp while examining the spoils from Rokanan and Phyllis.
  • Rayne deciphered Phyllis’s diary and learned that she had kept numerous suitors before becoming the secret lover of Duke Redstone.
  • Rayne discovered that Phyllis had arranged the failed attempt to assassinate Viola and had repeatedly sought chances to harm her out of jealousy.
  • Phyllis’s diary revealed that Duke Redstone had warned her not to provoke anyone connected to a Soul Saint Wizard and had since withdrawn from public view to conduct major magical research.
