Ch. 866Sweeping Through All Armies

The Extreme Warriors annihilated the Super Sun Legion outside Shivaji Royal Palace, demonstrating overwhelming firepower while Rayne and his allies destroyed most of the Balkor Altars. As the Fear Domain weakened, Tim Kainan ordered the imperial forces to surround the palace, secure Banbei City, and hunt down Loki’s temple and followers.

  • Five Extreme Warriors broke the Super Sun Legion’s charge by destroying its Conqueror’s Shield, Mammoth Colossi, priests, and knights before the palace barrier sealed its gates.
  • The Extreme Warriors shot down the Blue Finch Knights outside the barrier, and Tim Kainan sent the Griffon Legion to attack them.
  • Rayne and the Extreme Warriors destroyed two-thirds of the Balkor Altars, freeing most of Banbei City’s residents and weakening the Fear Domain.
  • Tim Kainan opened portals to Banbei City and ordered imperial legions to surround Shivaji Royal Palace, seize key locations, and kill Loki’s followers.

Ch. 867Saint-Tier Kill

The imperial forces overwhelmed Banbei City as the Super Sun Legion and Blue Finch Knights were driven back. After Sikarius and four Extreme Warriors killed Krago, a Saint-Tier Ogre, Rayne arrived at Shivaji Royal Palace just as Falanis fired an Ultimate Arcane Fireball at it.

  • Imperial troops and Griffon Knights poured through the portals, defeating the Super Sun Legion and Blue Finch Knights while the destruction of the Balkor Altars weakened the Fear Domain.
  • Vikramaditya II ordered Krago to attack the forces blocking Shivaji Royal Palace.
  • Sikarius and four Extreme Warriors worked together to kill Krago in a brief battle, then resumed guarding the palace gate as the imperial army surrounded the palace.
  • The final Balkor Altar was destroyed, causing the Fear Domain over Banbei City to vanish.
  • Rayne appeared outside Shivaji Royal Palace, and Falanis launched an Ultimate Arcane Fireball toward the palace.

Ch. 869Saint-Tier Tyrant

Rayne’s forces besieged Shivaji Royal Palace with repeated Ultimate Arcane Fireballs, while Vikramaditya II’s Shadow Ward and enslaved army held out inside. Just as the ward neared collapse, the bombardment stopped because Falanis Floating City had come under attack.

  • Falanis Floating City’s Ultimate Arcane Fireballs battered Shivaji Royal Palace, and its Shadow Ward blocked the blasts while the shock waves killed thousands of Transcendents.
  • The Super Sun Legion and Blue Finch Knights broke ranks and fled the palace, but Imperial forces intercepted them as Rayne’s Heavenly Soldiers and Extreme Warriors arrived through Portals.
  • Rayne used the All-Seeing Eye to discover Vikramaditya II surrounded by powerful slaves and court wizards, including Soul Saint Wizard Chambery, who warned that the ward could withstand only a few more attacks.
  • After the eighth Ultimate Arcane Fireball struck, Vikramaditya II declared that there would be no next attack, and Rayne realized Falanis Floating City had come under assault.

Ch. 870Thunder God's Spear

As Falanis Floating City fell silent, Rayne reassured the imperial forces that Soul Saint Wizards were handling its defense and led the assault on Shivaji Royal Palace. His Thunder God's Spear and the Extreme Legion’s gunfire shattered the palace’s Shadow Ward, leaving the fight against Vikramaditya II and Chambery poised to begin.

  • Rayne told Salain, Heistok, and Sorik to continue the siege, explaining that the Soul Saint Wizards would defend the Floating City.
  • Rayne rallied the imperial forces, then sent the Extreme Legion through the palace’s four gates, where its gunfire overwhelmed the Super Sun Legion.
  • Rayne used Thunderous Stomp to kill more than a hundred Transcendents and spotted Vikramaditya II and Chambery inside the palace.
  • Rayne charged Thunder God's Spear and hurled it into the Shadow Ward, stunning several court wizards and weakening the barrier.
  • The Extreme Warriors and Rayne's Heavenly Soldiers fired on the weakened Shadow Ward until it shattered.

Ch. 871Doomsday Battle

Rayne and the Extreme Warriors destroyed the Gupta royal palace and nearly wiped out Vikramaditya II’s Super Sun Legion, while Soul Saint Wizard Chambery escaped with several court Wizards. Vikramaditya II began fighting Rayne with the legendary Soulflame Greatsword, and the battle continued as the Extreme Warriors attacked the Tyrant’s slave army.

  • The Extreme Warriors’ Explosive Bullet Guns destroyed the palace, while Chambery escaped with more than a dozen Wizards and Vikramaditya II survived inside a Repulsion Field.
  • Vikramaditya II saw his palace and Super Sun Legion ruined, blamed Rayne for the defeat, and resolved to capture him to force the imperial army to retreat.
  • Vikramaditya II summoned the Soulflame Greatsword and used its Doomsday Battle power, drawing Soul Power from his slave Transcendents.
  • Vikramaditya II attacked Rayne at close range, but Rayne dodged his strikes and destroyed the Repulsion Field protecting the slave Transcendents.
  • Rayne warned Heistok, Salain, and Sorik not to intervene as the Extreme Warriors opened fire on Vikramaditya II’s scattered slave army.

Ch. 873Vikramaditya II — Imperial Armament

Vikramaditya II’s slave army was destroyed by Rayne and the Extreme Warriors, and his attempts to escape were blocked. He invoked the Black Emperor’s Ninth Circle Divine Arts, Imperial Armament, and prepared to unleash his true strength against Rayne.

  • Vikramaditya II sent his slaves to defend themselves, but the Extreme Warriors’ Explosive Bullet Guns quickly killed most of them.
  • Vikramaditya II attacked the Extreme Warriors, but their coordinated close-combat assaults wounded him and forced him to retreat with Shadow Leap.
  • Rayne transformed into a Titan Giant, destroyed the remaining slave army with his spells, and helped the Extreme Warriors drive Vikramaditya II below Level 30.
  • Vikramaditya II tried to escape using teleportation gems, but Rayne’s Phase Distortion and a hidden Soul Saint Wizard’s Spatial Lock prevented him from leaving.
  • Rayne used Heaven’s Light to remove every shadow and stop Vikramaditya II from using Shadow Leap, trapping him in the palace ruins.
  • Vikramaditya II invoked the Black Emperor Balkor’s Imperial Armament, recovered his strength, and called upon Doomsday Battle.

Ch. 874Mirror Image Melee

Vikramaditya II activated Doomsday Battle and became powerful enough to threaten Rayne and the retreating armies. Rayne used Teleportation and Mirror Image to counter him, but Vikramaditya II survived the assault, found Rayne’s true body, and charged to attack.

  • Vikramaditya II activated Doomsday Battle, raising his Strength to Level 19 as the Imperial Armament continued to strengthen him.
  • Rayne ordered the Extreme Warriors and the Empire’s three Imperial Legions to retreat, then used Teleportation to save an Extreme Warrior from Vikramaditya II’s sword strike.
  • Vikramaditya II destroyed the ruined throne with a Cleave, lost himself to rage, and focused his attacks on Rayne.
  • Rayne cast Mirror Image and coordinated attacks from his copies, using spells, rockets, lightning, and weapons to blast Vikramaditya II into a pit.
  • Vikramaditya II endured the barrage, destroyed two more mirror images, and located Rayne’s true body.
  • Vikramaditya II charged toward Rayne and swung the Soulflame Greatsword at him.

Ch. 875Thunderous Strike

Rayne used Thunder God's Hammer, his Mirrors, and teleportation to battle Vikramaditya II while concealing the hammer's identity, but Vikramaditya II's Level 20 Strength left Rayne unable to fight him head-on. As the Mirrors' time ran short and the Imperial Legion was still retreating, a mysterious voice offered Rayne power in exchange for serving it.

  • Rayne and Vikramaditya II clashed in midair, and Rayne's Thunder God's Hammer matched the Soulflame Greatsword before Vikramaditya II realized it was the real Thunder God's Hammer.
  • Rayne's Mirrors struck Vikramaditya II with Soul Rends, letting Rayne smash him into the royal palace ruins with Thunderous Strike, but Vikramaditya II rapidly healed and attacked again.
  • Vikramaditya II reached Level 20 Strength and knocked Rayne through the ruins, while a Mirror transformed into a Titan Giant and sacrificed itself to halt his pursuit.
  • Rayne used Mind Leap, Blink, Lightning Flash, and the Mirrors' Teleportation to evade Vikramaditya II and prevent him from reaching the retreating Imperial Legion.
  • Vikramaditya II warned Rayne that he would die when the Mirrors ended, and a mysterious voice offered Rayne power and Vikramaditya II as spoils if he agreed to serve it.

Ch. 876The Black Emperor's Temptation

Balkor tried to recruit Rayne by offering him power and the Aurelian Empire, but Rayne refused and prepared to face Vikramaditya II without divine help. As Rayne and the Imperial Transcendents fought in the palace ruins, Vikramaditya II overwhelmed most of them, leaving Rayne and Batura to press the attack.

  • Balkor tempted Rayne with a promise to help him conquer the Empire, but Rayne rejected the offer and Balkor warned that he would become Rayne's enemy.
  • Rayne saw that the Empire's Legion had withdrawn and resolved to kill Vikramaditya II before his Mirror Image expired.
  • Marquis Zerim Batura and other Imperial Transcendents arrived and surrounded Vikramaditya II, who nearly killed Villian before Rayne saved him with a Mirror Image.
  • Vikramaditya II shrugged off the Legendary Wizards' spells and killed Otiluk's Mirror Image, forcing the wizards to retreat.
  • Batura endured Vikramaditya II's strike with his Earth Guardian shield, while Salain, Heistok, and Hertes attacked and were driven back or wounded.
  • Rayne and four Mirror Images attacked Vikramaditya II as Batura charged back into the fight.

Ch. 877Thunder God's Wrath

Rayne and Batura kept Vikramaditya II occupied while Rayne prepared a way to overcome the Gupta king’s Imperial Armament. After reaching his third Battle Music cycle, Rayne trapped Vikramaditya II in Time Stop and destroyed him with Thunder God’s Wrath, leaving the Empire forces to discover that their enemy had vanished.

  • Vikramaditya II’s Imperial Armament healed him repeatedly, while Batura and Rayne’s mirror images coordinated their attacks to keep him from escaping.
  • Rayne withdrew and used his stored electricity to build up Battle Music while Batura endured Vikramaditya II’s blows and repeatedly returned to the fight.
  • When Battle Music reached its third cycle, Rayne used a teleportation spell to bring Vikramaditya II within range and cast Time Stop.
  • Rayne activated Thunder God’s Wrath, grew into a Titan Giant, and smashed Vikramaditya II with the Thunder God’s Hammer, reducing him to ashes despite the Imperial Armament.
  • Time Stop ended, and the Empire powerhouses saw that Vikramaditya II had vanished from the ruins.

Ch. 878Vikramaditya II Was Killed in One Strike

Rayne killed Vikramaditya II with help from a hidden Time Stop caster, then claimed the Soulflame Greatsword as his spoils. After exposing and killing Hertes, Rayne used another Time Stop to kill the fleeing Lockrion, the Trickery Grandmaster behind the attack on Chancellor Gneus.

  • The Empire's Transcendents realized that Vikramaditya II had died during a Time Stop, and Rayne denied being a Soul Saint Wizard, saying an unnamed Spellcaster had cast the spell.
  • Rayne retrieved Vikramaditya II's Soulflame Greatsword and refused to sell it, gaining two levels of Strength when he gripped it.
  • Hertes challenged Rayne's claim to the sword and argued that Batura deserved a share, so Rayne identified Hertes as an evil god's follower and killed his Spirit Clone.
  • The Empire's Transcendents heard Lockrion suffer the death backlash from Hertes's clone and spotted him fleeing toward the Shadow Plane.
  • Rayne stopped time, pursued Lockrion, and cut him in half with the Soulflame Greatsword, revealing the mass of transparent worms left by a Trickery Grandmaster's death.

Ch. 879Contending with Gods

Rayne appeared to die when Loki’s Saint Avatar attacked him during a Dark Sun massacre, but Loki’s strike had hit a Mirror Image. A black-robed Wizard protected by Sacred Blood Amber then trapped Loki in Time Stop and launched a storm of spells at him.

  • Rayne killed a Trickery Grandmaster during Time Stop, but he could not confirm whether the dead man was Lockrion.
  • A Dark Sun appeared, and Loki’s divine power drove nearly everyone in the royal palace ruins into a murderous frenzy.
  • Loki pierced Rayne’s apparent body and claimed victory, but Rayne’s corpse vanished, revealing that Loki had killed a Mirror Image.
  • A black-robed Wizard caught the flying Sacred Blood Amber, activated its Absolute Holy Shield, and completed a Time Stop spell against Loki.
  • The Wizard summoned twelve Mirror Images, which unleashed hundreds of spells at Loki from every direction.

Ch. 880Hammer the Deceiver to a Pulp

Rayne and the Imperial forces defeated Loki’s attack on Banbei City, but the victory came at a terrible cost. After Rayne reappeared in Falanis Floating City, he learned that Master Huai and several other powerful figures had died, and asked Tim Kainan who had invaded the city.

  • Reslin and twelve Mirror Images bombarded Loki’s Saint incarnation while the Imperial fighters were teleported away from the Dark Sun Divine Domain.
  • When Loki’s armor broke, Rayne’s Heavenly Soldier struck him apart with a hammer, then fled using Phase Walker as Loki began to reform.
  • Vejestri confronted Loki, forcing him to flee while she pursued; afterward, Falanis Floating City and the Imperial legions drove the remaining enemies from Banbei City.
  • At Eight Leaves Plaza, Rayne removed his Heavenly Soldier mask and went with Tim Kainan to the tower, where he found injured survivors and the bodies of fallen Imperial powerhouses.
  • Rayne recognized Master Huai among the dead and asked Tim Kainan who had invaded Falanis Floating City and how Master Huai had died.

Ch. 881Resurrection

After the battle in Falanis, Rayne explained how he survived Loki’s ambush and revealed the Sacred Blood Amber to the Imperial powerhouses. He used the divine artifact to resurrect Master Huo Huai, who awoke and asked Rayne if he had brought him back.

  • Tim Kainan reported that Yagrim had escaped while the other invading Saint Tier powerhouses had been killed, and explained that Loki had killed Master Huo Huai before fleeing.
  • Rayne confirmed that Loki had ambushed him, revealed that he had switched places with a True Mirror Image in Banbei City, and declined to explain how he had deceived Loki.
  • Rayne identified Reslin as the Legendary Peak Wizard who had mastered Time Stop and saved the others with an Absolute Holy Shield.
  • Rayne revealed the Sacred Blood Amber as a Lesser Divine Artifact created by Losen Da and offered to use it to resurrect Master Huo Huai.
  • Rayne activated the Sacred Blood Amber and cast Complete Resurrection, restoring Master Huo Huai to life.
  • Master Huo Huai woke, saw Rayne holding the Sacred Blood Amber, and asked whether Rayne had resurrected him.

Ch. 882Buying People's Hearts

Rayne used the Sacred Blood Amber to resurrect Master Huai, promise free resurrections for three Imperial heroes, and heal the wounded, winning the Imperial powerhouses’ support for his bid to become Imperial Governor. He rewarded Marquis Zerim Batura with Titan Strength Armor, and the chapter ended as the assembled forces anticipated looting Banbei City.

  • Rayne resurrected Master Huai and reminded the gathered powerhouses that Complete Resurrection required a price, though he offered to revive Otiluk, Charni, and Sorik for free.
  • Rayne promised to resurrect Governor Hertes if his remains could be found, and Tim Kainan sent people to search while preserving the three fallen heroes’ bodies.
  • Rayne used the Sacred Blood Amber’s Holy Heal and other healing spells to restore Master Oruoin, Heistok, Salain, Mayov, and the other wounded, earning their gratitude and support.
  • Rayne assessed how the Sacred Blood Amber had improved his standing and gave Marquis Zerim Batura Titan Strength Armor as compensation for his contribution against Vikramaditya II.
  • Rayne and Batura agreed that Rayne would repair and deliver the armor, while the gathered Imperial forces began anticipating the spoils in Banbei City.

Ch. 883Eradication Plan

Vejestri praised Rayne for helping defeat Loki’s saint avatar and warned the Imperial Legion to keep his Sacred Blood Amber secret. As Tim Kainan discussed the Empire’s plans for Banbei City and the Gupta Kingdom, Rayne rejected his proposal to expel the Subcontinent’s other races and urged the Empire to remain through another method.

  • Vejestri returned to the tower hall, praised Rayne’s role in weakening Loki, and learned that the Sacred Blood Amber had enabled him to resurrect Huo Huai.
  • Vejestri told Rayne to keep the Sacred Blood Amber and warned everyone not to reveal that he possessed it, citing the risk of provoking the Sun God Gewon.
  • After Vejestri departed, Tim Kainan prepared to let the Imperial Legion plunder Banbei City, but Rayne asked what the Empire planned to do with the Gupta Kingdom.
  • Tim Kainan said he favored making the Gupta Kingdom a vassal and driving out its nonhuman races as a first step toward annexation.
  • Rayne argued that expelling tens of millions of other races would be impractical, costly, and damaging to the Empire, and he urged the army to stay and control the Subcontinent by another method.

Ch. 884An Economic Colony

Rayne proposed controlling the Subcontinent through trade, using Imperial goods and investment to dominate its economy and weaken evil gods’ influence. Tim Kainan approved the plan in principle, assigned Rayne to carry it out as Chancellor, and Rayne directed the Imperial powerhouses to loot selected wealthy targets in Banbei City.

  • Rayne explained that intelligent races and their labor were valuable resources, and argued that Imperial productivity could let the Empire dominate the Subcontinent through unrestricted trade.
  • Rayne proposed an exclusive Empire-backed trading company, a permanent Transcendent Legion in Banbei City, and political manipulation of the Gupta Kingdom through a puppet ruler and rival claimants.
  • Tim Kainan praised the plan, said he would report it to the High Council, and assigned Rayne responsibility for implementing it as the next Chancellor.
  • Rayne agreed that Banbei City should be looted but forbade indiscriminate violence, then handed out a list identifying wealthy nobles, merchants, and their valuables.
  • The Imperial powerhouses took the list and hurried off to plunder the selected targets.

Ch. 885The Appointed King

Rayne tracked down the Gupta royal family’s hidden treasures and captured them at Viscount Maharaht’s castle. After Budihha revealed the secret treasury, Rayne appointed him the new king of the Gupta Kingdom.

  • Rayne traveled through Reslin’s Portal with ten Extreme Warriors and ten Rayne's Heavenly Soldiers to attack a castle near Nasik.
  • Rayne’s forces overwhelmed the castle’s defenders, and Rayne killed the Flame Sword Saint during the fight.
  • Rayne confronted the captured Gupta royal family and demanded the royal treasures, then had a prince shot after he denied knowing about them.
  • Budihha revealed that the royal treasures and treasury gold were hidden beneath his castle and offered to lead Rayne to them.
  • Rayne learned Budihha had royal blood and declared him the new king of the Gupta Kingdom.

Ch. 886Vague Stratagems and Treasure

Rayne made Budihha the new king of the Gupta Kingdom, then opened Vikramaditya II's hidden treasury and found a fortune worth about fifty million Gold Shields. He transported the treasure to his demi-plane, where his Star Destroyer was under construction.

  • Rayne offered Budihha the Gupta throne, and Budihha accepted after realizing refusal could get him killed.
  • Budihha urged Rayne to kill Vikramaditya II's surviving family, but Rayne let them escape so they would threaten Budihha's rule.
  • Budihha led Rayne through the trapped underground passage to the treasury's Magic Door, and Rayne opened it with the Key of the Gate.
  • Rayne discovered gold, magical materials, gemstones, and other treasures worth about fifty million Gold Shields.
  • Rayne filled his Nebula Ring with gold, used Otherworld Teleportation to return to his demi-plane, and saw the Star Destroyer taking shape.

Ch. 887Star Destroyer's Progress

Rayne inspected the Star Destroyer he had been building in his demi-plane and decided he needed a new Iola's Core to finish testing it. After securing Budihha's obedience and arranging the Empire's Subcontinent trade company, Rayne left the ship still under construction and the company's launch awaiting the new governor.

  • Rayne inspected the six-hundred-meter Star Destroyer, whose construction was less than thirty percent complete, and decided to ask his teacher to help build a new Iola's Core.
  • Rayne moved the royal treasury's contents into his demi-plane, then confirmed Budihha's loyalty and assigned guards to watch over him until he became king.
  • Rayne returned to Falanis Floating City, where Tim Kainan told him the High Council had approved a company to manage trade between the Empire and the Subcontinent.
  • Rayne granted Tim Kainan's Longpis merchants exclusive operating rights for up to ten kinds of goods, and named the company the Imperial Subcontinent Trade Company.
