Chapter 1: Welcome to the Chosen Space... No, the King's Space!
Dark night, strong winds, lightning, and thunder.
In the center of a graveyard filled with small hills, withered trees, and gravestones, a muscular Bearded Uncle, clad only in strawberry-patterned underwear, his face contorted in pain, was "intimately" pressed against an elegant woman with delicate features, dressed in a pure white princess dress.
Just then, the sky darkened again, and a colossal Western Fantasy Red Demon emerged from the void.
Its appearance left the Bearded Uncle and the White Skirt Princess below nearly suffocating.
The Bearded Uncle struggled to get up, trying to shield the princess with his arm. Though trembling all over, the princess quickly adopted a stubborn expression, staring at the monster in the sky.
But it was all in vain. The winged, giant red demon descended towards the ground with immense power.
The wind howled, the princess screamed.
In the blink of an eye, the princess vanished. The Bearded Uncle was sent flying three meters away, landing heavily on the ground amidst a mist of blood.
The perspective shifted. The demon, holding the petite princess, returned to the sky, its gaze cruel and mocking as it stared at the Strawberry Underwear Bearded Knight, who had been severely wounded once more.
This time, he had no chance.
Ignoring the princess's cries, the demon's wings enveloped itself and the princess, then completely merged into the darkness.
Meanwhile, not far from the scene, atop a small hill dotted with a dozen gravestones, a group of humans of various heights, builds, and attire erupted in astonishing, yet inexplicably contained, chaotic noise.
"Who are you people? Where is this place!?"
"Let me tell you, this is a society governed by law. Kidnapping and extortion are illegal... Don't make the mistake of choosing a life of crime!"
"Damn it! Look! A dead body! Holy crap! And a naked foreigner! Quick, quick~ Where's your phone? Record it!"
"Idiot! There's a monster in the sky, why are you recording this dead thing!?"
"Hey, you think that monster took the girl to breed with her?"
"Can this be a Goblin?"
"...Seeing hallucinations after just two bottles of beer and a pound of baijiu? My tolerance has really dropped."
"Ahhh!!!" (Pause) "Ah!!!!"
There were questions, pleas, onlookers, and screams. The scene was a riot of disparate voices, a cacophony where most people were shouting but none could communicate effectively—
Until a gunshot echoed through the graveyard.
Most of the Chinese people were not accustomed to the sound of gunfire, but when the sound was so close, and the smoking muzzle of the handgun was visible, most people knew when to be sensible.
Everyone fell silent instantly, including the half-drunk, half-awake man questioning reality. A few individuals let out short "ah" sounds before instinctively covering their mouths.
"Alright, everyone shut up. I'll do the talking, you listen. Don't add a word, understand?"
Among the crowd, the only two who stood in stark contrast to everyone else were a guy with skin of a bizarre cyan hue, dressed in what looked like a chainmail outfit only seen at anime conventions. He sat atop a tombstone, smoking a cigarette and casually tracing the crowd with his gun barrel.
The rest of the group didn't dare to breathe, merely shifting their bodies as subtly as possible to avoid the muzzle that was already barely grazing them.
The other person who stood out dramatically was Cheng Tian, or Cheng Mouren as he was known. He was shirtless, wearing only underpants and slippers, clutching his phone, looking like he'd just walked out of his own bathroom.
Not only was he dressed the most casually, but he was also the only one who hadn't uttered a single word since the beginning.
Cheng Tian remained silent because he had long been lost in a brainstorming session, all the noise going in one ear and out the other, until the gunshot.
While everyone else was freaking out about the sudden, inexplicable transmigration, Cheng Tian, the moment he saw the Uncle with Strawberry Underwear, the Purple Haired Princess, and the Red Demon in the center of the graveyard, his mind immediately retrieved a keyword—
Demon World Village.
He even found the corresponding version: the opening animation of the NES version of Demon World Village.
However, the scene before him had a significant plot deviation from the opening animation he remembered.
Originally, the Knight "Arthur," the savior of the kingdom, was supposed to don his armor again after the princess was abducted and charge towards the Demon King's Castle to rescue her.
But looking at Arthur now, with blood sputtering from his lips and lying on the ground, barely breathing... could he be dying?
Cheng Tian's mind was completely filled with information related to Demon World Village. He didn't join the surrounding commotion and appeared exceptionally quiet, which caused the Cyan Skin Old Bro to glance at him a couple more times without making a sound.
"All attention, look here."
As the old bro spoke, he tapped the tombstone beneath his butt twice with his gun barrel. Everyone obediently looked over.
With his tap, the decaying tombstone surface, covered in dust, began to peel away on its own.
Immediately, the tombstone surface started displaying lines of text like an ink-wash e-book.

The surface of the tombstone plunged into darkness. Some people, whose reading speed was slower, hadn't even finished reading everything.
More people, however, looked bewildered and disbelieving.
Two young men, who clearly knew each other and were trying to record Arthur and the demon, showed excited expressions after a brief moment of thought.
"Bro! Is this real? Did we really transmigrate?"
The young man with the phone seemed to have read a lot of web novels and had a relatively clear understanding of his current situation. In his excitement, he had forgotten about the gun in Qing Pi's hand and his earlier warning. Thus--
Bang!
Accompanied by the gunshot and an uncontrollable cry of pain, the young man became One-Ear.
