| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Unranked → Black Iron Rank | 222, 226 | Black Iron signifies leaving the novice stage and is required for higher-level Bounty Missions. Advancement is based on comprehensive evaluation rather than attributes alone, including skills, equipment, titles, and practical application. 222 226 |
Role in Chosen Space
Chosen Space recruits qualified individuals as Players, offering them the chance to fulfill wishes, overcome regrets, and obtain powers or items previously limited to fantasy. In exchange, they must explore dungeons, discover rules, kill enemies, and complete missions. 1
- A Player’s body is digitized upon entering a dungeon. 1
- Death inside an instance results in death in reality. 2
- Dungeon rewards may include Chosen Coins, equipment, Free Attribute Points, Free Skill Points, titles, and faction reputation. 1 47 224
- Player choices can permanently affect the “save data” of related future dungeons, especially choices such as killing allied units or story characters. 49
Player Systems
Chosen Mark and Personal Panel
Every Player receives a Chosen Mark, which grants access to a private character panel. Its display adapts to the individual, appearing through media such as a phone app, AR glasses, ring projection, or tattoos. 2
| Panel category | Function |
|---|---|
| Identity | Records the Player’s name, ID, and race. 2 |
| Attributes | Tracks Strength, Agility, Spirit, and Charisma. 2 18 |
| Status | Displays HP, MP, and active buffs or conditions. 2 |
| Build | Lists talents, skills, equipment, items, and wealth. 2 |
Attributes
| Attribute | Primary effects |
|---|---|
| Strength | Physical attack, maximum HP, self-healing, carrying capacity, and damage resistance. 7 |
| Agility | Attack speed, movement speed, dynamic vision, and reaction time. 18 |
| Spirit | Magic attack, maximum MP, mana recovery, and magic resistance. 18 |
| Charisma | Initial NPC and faction reputation, reputation gain, neutral-creature impressions, summon control, communication, and persuasion. 18 |
Skills and Talents
Players may possess Innate Skills or talents, then expand their abilities through dungeon progression.
- Skills can be acquired from Skill Stone drops obtained by defeating monsters. 74
- Players who assist a scenario’s protagonist faction and accumulate sufficient completion and reputation may inherit that faction’s abilities or equipment. 74
- Main Quests are the usual source of Free Attribute Points and Free Skill Points; Bounty Missions primarily offer coins, equipment, connections, map exploration, and hidden-story opportunities. 47
- Skill effects are governed by dungeon rules and may be altered by modifiers; for example, a skill’s valid target category can change in a Mecha Combat dungeon. 324
Equipment and Inventory
Players use fixed equipment slots; wearing additional items beyond those slots does not grant further benefits. 8
- Standard slots include helmet, chest armor, gloves, belt, pants, shoes, necklace, two rings, main hand, and off-hand. 8
- A Player inventory normally has six category-based slots rather than a grid-based storage system. 10
- Swapping equipped weapons during combat generally imposes a six-second activation delay, though changing equipment while empty-handed can take effect immediately. 12
- Equipment may be restricted by dungeon modifiers, particularly in worlds where technology or foreign power systems are suppressed. 1 185 245
Dungeon Participation
Dungeon conditions determine whether Players cooperate, compete, or openly fight one another.
- The Novice Trial modifier prohibits killing other Players and penalizes violators by reducing future dungeon rewards. 1
- In Multi-Faction Confrontation dungeons, Players from opposing factions may kill one another without gaining a Red Name, while same-faction killing damages faction standing and usually yields no Bloody Treasure Chest. 607
- Red Name Players may target weaker newcomers for loot, but repeated avoidance of Main Quests can hinder their long-term growth. 46 47
- Players can use a “One More Round” coin to replay a failed Main Dungeon with prior knowledge, though Chosen Space increases the dungeon’s difficulty in response. 160
Identity and Appearance
Chosen Space allows Players to alter their public appearance, including race, gender, height, and facial features, particularly on Space Island. These changes are superficial rather than true biological transformations. 29 45
- Physical contact can expose a cosmetic disguise because it does not change the underlying body. 45
- Players may purchase a one-time temporary disguise before entering a dungeon, but cannot activate this service once inside. 45
- Aside from special skills, Players normally display their true appearance in dungeons. 194
- Most Players develop a recognizable aura that distinguishes them from local NPCs; high-Charisma specialists are better able to conceal it and blend into dungeon society. 45 768
Factions and Teams
Players may join dungeon factions or establish longer-term organizations within Chosen Space.
- Faction standing can provide specialized equipment, mercenary support, and access to exclusive systems. 651
- The Scorching Sun Legion’s Officer-rank members can form three-person Combat Squads, which function as a basic Team Contract and improve the odds of entering Main Quests with familiar allies. 651
- A Player controlling a sufficiently powerful “Flying City”-class combat vehicle can become a faction leader able to recruit Players and NPCs, issue quests, and influence reward details. 637
- Higher-ranked Players gain priority in certain privilege applications and access to broader opportunities than Unranked or Black Iron Players. 649
