It took nearly half a day to discuss, but the results were unsatisfactory. Everyone could only return home temporarily amidst the Third Hokage's tired voice. Ming Jing seemed to have disappeared all at once; even Kakashi didn't notice if he had left.
Hyuga Hiashi walked out of the conference room with a gloomy expression, intending to return to the clan's headquarters to discuss matters with his younger brother, Hizashi Hyuga. However, before he could even leave the Hokage Building, someone called out to him. Hyuga Hiashi frowned slightly but still looked at the person who had called him. Then, he froze. The brat was standing in such a conspicuous spot, so why hadn't he noticed anyone there just now?
"Good afternoon, Patriarch Hyuga," Ming Jing walked over and respectfully cupped his hands to Hyuga Hiashi.
"Kurama Ming Jing of the Kurama Clan? Thank you for speaking up just now," Hyuga Hiashi sized up Ming Jing, his tone not exactly friendly.
"It's what I should do. I believe that in the future, the Hyuga Clan and the Kurama Clan will always maintain friendly relations," Ming Jing smiled subtly, perfectly displaying the demeanor of a gentleman. Hyuga Hiashi didn't speak, but his dismissive expression showed that he didn't agree with Ming Jing's words.
"I believe Patriarch Hyuga knows the situation in the meeting room today. This junior presumes to remind you that if you can remain calm at the appropriate time, you might see who the real mastermind is." Ming Jing's tone was gentle, and it didn't sound jarring to Hyuga Hiashi's ears, but that didn't mean his future father-in-law was listening.
Ming Jing didn't seem to care. He nodded at Tsukishiro Yuexi and Qing Yan not far away. After the two approached, he bid farewell to Hyuga Hiashi and turned to leave.
When Hyuga Hiashi raised his leg again to leave the Hokage Hall, he suddenly realized that he and the Hyuga Clan members behind him had already exited the Hokage Hall! Hyuga Hiashi snapped back to attention and shot a sharp gaze at the Kurama Clan's carriage that was driving away.
"Patriarch?" The Hyuga Clan members behind him were confused. One of them called out to Hyuga Hiashi.
"It's nothing, let's go!" Hyuga Hiashi said coldly, leading his group away.
In the carriage, Tsukishiro Yuexi saw the Hyuga Clan members leave through the reflection in a small mirror. She then knocked lightly on the carriage door and said softly, "Young Master, the Hyuga Clan members have left."
"Mm, then... Illusion Technique: Secret Message Release!" Ming Jing nodded and simultaneously dispelled the illusion he had previously cast in the Hokage Hall. The old man probably set it so that he could only choose four illusion techniques to practice each year, to prevent Ming Jing from getting himself killed. He had been in the Naruto world for three years and had successfully learned twelve illusion techniques. Well, he had only learned them, that's all.
Secret Message (Silk Method): An A-rank illusion technique. It involves pre-recording a segment of video and storing it in a specific location, then setting up the scene. When the intended person appears, the illusion is triggered, allowing them to see the previously left recording.
Hyuga Hiashi returned to the Hyuga Clan's headquarters and immediately sent for Hizashi Hyuga. The two brothers sat together to discuss their next move. After hearing Hyuga Hiashi's words, Hizashi Hyuga pondered for a moment and asked uncertainly, "Brother, why do I feel something is wrong?"
"What do you mean?" Hyuga Hiashi was also anxious and couldn't understand Hizashi Hyuga's words for a moment.
Hizashi Hyuga tapped his fingers lightly on the table and said, "The Raikage's letter and the Third Hokage's attitude. If we are united, we will be fine. If someone interferes..."
Hearing his brother's words, Hyuga Hiashi recalled carefully and suddenly remembered the Kurama Clan brat's reminder after they left: "The real mastermind..."
Two days later, Ming Jing arrived at the Hokage Hall again. Although only forty-eight hours had passed, Hyuga Hiashi was clearly no longer as calm and composed as before; he had become impatient.
"Yo, good morning!" Kakashi was still the first to greet Ming Jing today. Ming Jing looked at Kakashi with surprise, his eyes seeming to ask, "You're not late?"
"Cough, cough, cough... One must be punctual for such occasions," Kakashi understood Ming Jing's gaze and coughed awkwardly, explaining it with great seriousness.
"Senior Kakashi is right," Ming Jing gave an understanding smile. Kakashi felt a pang of awkwardness, thinking it was better not to be understood!
Entering the hall last with Kakashi once again, Ming Jing sat down and was surprised to find that Fugaku Uchiha had arrived early today. He glanced silently at Danzo, realizing that a conclusion would be reached today!
After the Third Hokage sat down, Danzo impatiently took out a document and said to everyone, "This is a letter written by the Fourth Raikage to the Third Hokage yesterday. I think it would be good for everyone present to take a look." After speaking, Danzo handed the document to a Chunin behind him.
The Chunin took the document hesitantly, looking at the Third Hokage with a bewildered expression.
"Distribute it for everyone to see!" The Third Hokage, holding his pipe, said after a moment of silence.
Ming Jing sighed inwardly as he watched the Third Hokage compromise so quickly. As a leader, the Third Hokage was gradually losing his drive, which was very frightening.
The document was distributed to everyone. Seeing the Fourth Raikage's extremely arrogant wording, Gekko Hayato angrily slammed the table and shouted, "Damn it! The Fourth Raikage is going too far! Does he think Konoha is made of mud?! Cough, cough, cough..."
"Patriarch Gekko might have misunderstood. The Fourth Raikage isn't targeting Konoha, but rather a single clan!" Danzo stepped forward appropriately and said lightly, absolving Konohagakure from the incident with a single sentence. Gekko Hayato also realized something and closed his eyes, no longer speaking.
"Hmph, if that's the case, then my Hyuga Clan will take responsibility!" Hyuga Hiashi placed the document on the table and said coldly. The two Hyuga elders behind him were so anxious they were jumping up and down, but they were powerless in such a situation.
"Since the Hyuga Clan is still in Konohagakure, they should obey the village's orders!" Mito Gate Sei said slowly. This middle-aged man was the patriarch of the Mito Clan, the son of Mitokado Homura.
"Oh? Then what does the village mean? Do you want me to tie myself up and go to the Land of Lightning?!" Hyuga Hiashi laughed in anger, his tone filled with suppressed rage.
"Patriarch Hyuga exaggerates. Actually, if the Hyuga Clan hands over the culprit, this matter will naturally be resolved!" Another unknown patriarch of a small clan said with a smile. He was quite happy to see these prestigious clans in trouble.
"Patriarch Uchiha, what do you think??" Danzo, seeing that the situation was almost ripe, played his final trump card.
Fugaku Uchiha glanced at Danzo and said in his usual cold tone, "Hand over the culprit and quell this pointless conflict."
Ming Jing looked back and forth between Danzo and Fugaku Uchiha. He recalled the plot from the anime: a few years after Uchiha Itachi graduated from the Ninja Academy, he went to the Anbu. The Anbu was directly under the Hokage, so how could they allow a member of the Uchiha Clan to join? Now the truth was clear: Fugaku Uchiha made a deal with Danzo with a single sentence, sending Uchiha Itachi to the Anbu. Then the question arose: why did the Third Hokage agree to this deal?
This one sentence, in a sense, almost doomed the entire Hyuga main family. Fortunately, the Hyuga Clan had a discerning descendant—Hizashi Hyuga!
Therefore, it was no exaggeration to say that Hizashi Hyuga was the savior of the Hyuga Clan!
"Good! Good! Good!" Hyuga Hiashi's Byakugan activated, and he said "good" three times, each one heavier than the last! Fugaku Uchiha also opened his Sharingan. The blood-red eyes and the pure white eyes clashed in the conference room, sparking a terrifying fire.
"Gentlemen, this is the Hokage Building!..." The Third Hokage's weary voice came through, finally dispelling the heavy atmosphere.
"Third Hokage-sama, I have urgent matters to attend to. I must leave!" Hyuga Hiashi nodded to the Third Hokage and turned to leave the conference room.
"Sigh..." The Third Hokage sighed. He was somewhat saddened, but he didn't regret it. For the sake of peace, a small loss was acceptable!
