Asuma looked at Ming Jing's serious expression and didn't know what to say. He just felt that hearing those words from Ming Jing's mouth was rather incongruous.

But on second thought, maybe this guy really could do it!

Asuma wasn't quite sure. After thinking for a while, he decided to observe for now before drawing any conclusions. So, Asuma looked at Ming Jing and said, "Let's talk about cooking instead!"

Ming Jing rolled his eyes and said disdainfully, "What could you possibly discuss with me about cooking? Just sit there and wait to eat."

"Ahahaha..." Asuma laughed awkwardly. That really did seem to be the case!

Half an hour later, a rich, distinctive aroma of fresh fish drifted out of the clay pot. Asuma couldn't help taking a deep breath. "Just smelling it makes me unable to hold back!"

Ming Jing lifted the lid, sprinkled in some chopped scallions, added a spoonful of salt, gently stirred it a few times, then ladled out a bowl of milky-white fish soup and handed it to Asuma.

Asuma accepted the fish soup, first savoring its intoxicating fragrance before cautiously taking a sip. The moment the soup entered his mouth, he felt as though his taste buds were about to explode! The broth was rich, fragrant, fresh, slightly spicy, and not greasy. He then tried the fish. The slices were tender, yellow, and smooth, their delicate flesh seeming to melt in his mouth.

"It's really amazing!" Asuma said, giving Ming Jing a thumbs-up.

Qing Yan was also holding a bowl of fish soup, which he nearly drained in one gulp. Then, with a faint blush on his handsome face, he said, "Young Master's food is the best!"

Ming Jing served himself a bowl, blew on it to cool it slightly, and tasted the soup.
