Inside the Hokage Office, Ming Jing and Tsunade sat facing each other with a pot of steaming tea between them. Shizune stood guard outside, her expression alert.

"Sigh, what exactly are you trying to do?" Ming Jing asked helplessly as he watched the curling steam rise. From the moment he entered the Hokage Office, Tsunade had sent Shizune outside to stand guard. On the surface, it was to prevent eavesdropping, but in truth, she was dragging Ming Jing into this.

"Don't you think Danzo is too much of a nuisance?" Tsunade smiled and looked at Ming Jing, getting straight to the point.

"I think he's just fine!" Ming Jing smiled as well. He truly disliked that guy Danzo and had even considered getting rid of him once. But it was precisely because Danzo was causing trouble in Konoha that Ming Jing could peacefully do his own thing in the Royal Capital. If Danzo were gone, Ming Jing dared say that the Police Department would be Konoha's next target. After all, many of the Police Department's functions overlapped with Konoha's, and the interests involved were enormous.

Tsunade frowned. She knew perfectly well how much Ming Jing detested Danzo. Back when Orochimaru invaded Konoha, if the Police Department had possessed enough strength, Ming Jing would have taken Danzo down then and there. Yet now that Tsunade, on Konoha's behalf, had abandoned the Danzo Group, Ming Jing seemed unwilling to intervene. For a moment, Tsunade was puzzled and unable to discern Ming Jing's intentions.

With that in mind, Tsunade decided to proceed slowly and probe Ming Jing's thoughts bit by bit. So she changed the subject and asked, "Then why did you rush back to the village and abduct Izumi this time? Who was that wounded person you secretly transported back?"
