Across battlefields all over the world, multiple units were intercepted by shinobi resurrected through Impure World Reincarnation. Lacking top-tier fighters, the Allied Shinobi Forces' positions seemed perilously close to collapse.
As everyone fought with all their might, they suddenly discovered that their respective opponents had stopped moving.
"What's going on?" Choza Akimichi, who was responsible for guarding Dan, asked in confusion.
Dan looked at his hand as it began to disintegrate and said with a smile, "It seems someone succeeded."
"That's wonderful!" Choza Akimichi said happily. Turning to look, he saw white light shining from every shinobi resurrected through Impure World Reincarnation across the battlefield. The beams shot into the sky like pillars of light. Souls drifted out from their bodies one after another, following the columns upward into the heavens.
The Second Tsuchikage had also broken free from Kabuto Yakushi's control. His soul floated out and hovered in the air as he instructed the shinobi present, "Tell Ōnoki to witness the future of the Ninja Alliance, then come tell me about it."
On another battlefield, Grandma Chiyo and Kimimaro were also freed. Once the old woman floated out, she could not help letting out a relieved breath. "I've finally truly died."
"Grandma Chiyo!" Kankuro hurried over. Looking at the elderly woman drifting higher and higher, he called out reluctantly.
"Kankuro," Grandma Chiyo said, looking at him with a kindly smile, "I'll leave the art of the Puppet Master to you!"
"I'll carry it on, Grandma!" Kankuro promised solemnly.
Grandma Chiyo nodded and said with a beaming smile, "This is the last time I'll play dead!" As she spoke, she drifted away faster, seeming eager to return home. Seeing the relaxed expression on Grandma Chiyo's face, Kankuro could not help feeling happy. Maybe this was not so bad after all.
