[I. Basic Living Guidelines]
["Community" is the daily living area for all players.]
["Visa Time" is the sole currency within the Community.]
[Players can use "Visa Time" to purchase necessary supplies for daily life from within the Community, including basic food ingredients, clothing, medicine, etc.]
[When issuing visas, the Community has already conducted a comprehensive assessment based on each player's situation and determined their initial "Visa Time."]
[Specific "Visa Time" can be checked at any "Visa Machine," "Vending Machine," or "Personal Computer."]
[Direct or indirect transactions involving "Visa Time" between players are prohibited within the Community. Circumventing this rule by purchasing supplies with Visa Time and then gifting the supplies to others is also not permitted.]
[Completing the Judgment Game in the "Gallery" is the only way to earn "Visa Time." Refer to "III. Gallery Judgment Guidelines" for details.]
[II. Community Activity Guidelines]
[All players within the Community have equal status.]
[Any dangerous actions outside the rules towards other players are strictly prohibited, including but not limited to murder, kidnapping, coercion, poisoning, etc.]
[Every Community player has an equal voting right.]
[Any Community player can go to the "Community Management Office" to propose a motion. After the Community reviews and approves it, all Community players can vote on the motion.]
[When more than half of the Community players vote in favor, the motion will be established as a new Community rule.]
[III. Gallery Judgment Guidelines]
["The Gallery" is the clearing and judgment institution in the New World.]
["The Gallery" may be activated at any time, summoning players through "mandatory" or "voluntary" means to complete judgment games.]
[Upon completion of the game, corresponding "Visa Time" will be awarded based on the game's content.]
[Among all players, there exists a special group of dangerous individuals: "God's Imitators." They design games for the Gallery to carry out judgments on players.]
[When a player dies in the Gallery, the designer of the corresponding game will receive all of the deceased player's remaining Visa Time.]
[The game rules for "The Gallery" will be updated in real-time on the homepage of players' Personal Computer websites.]
[The above are the basic rules of the New World. More hidden rules await discovery and creation by all players.]
[Tonight is Christmas Eve. We wish everyone a pleasant night in the New World.]
The image on the large screen disappeared, replaced by simple text that read "Sweet Dreams," accompanied by a warm city background.
"God, I've truly arrived in heaven.
This is the eternal abode of souls, the final resting place for the righteous..."
A middle-aged woman in plain clothes repeatedly made the sign of the cross, tears welling in her eyes, her emotions running high.
As for the others, their reactions varied.
Some wore expressions of joy, while others were filled with anxiety.
Fu Chen looked at everyone, seeming to hesitate for a moment, but he eventually cleared his throat and said loudly:
"Everyone... could you please quiet down for a moment and let me say a few words?
It's likely that most of us are still unclear about what exactly is happening, what this so-called New World is, and we're full of questions.
But from the current situation, it seems we'll all be living together in this Community for some time to come.
Therefore, I propose that we could all do a simple self-introduction to get to know each other a bit better, and then discuss the known Community rules.
This might be helpful for our future interactions.
Of course, this is just a suggestion, not mandatory.
What do you all think?"
Fu Chen looked at everyone. The previously noisy atmosphere quieted down again, and many people nodded in agreement.
No one stood up to object.
Fu Chen pushed up his rimless glasses and said, "Alright, I'll go first then.
I am No. 1, Fu Chen."
As he spoke, he displayed the visa pattern on his wristband to everyone, proving he wasn't lying about his name.
"I'm 25 years old, and as you can see, I'm male.
My previous job was an online streamer, mainly focusing on outdoor content.
I have no memory of how I got here.
The last thing I remember is that I was doing a 48-hour non-stop streaming challenge. I seemed to have fallen asleep from exhaustion, and when I woke up, I was in a completely white room.
After waiting for two hours, the door finally opened.
I followed the path all the way to this building and registered."
Fu Chen seemed to be trying his best to keep his tone light and humorous, especially when he mentioned "as you can see, I'm male," as if expecting some response from the crowd.
But unfortunately, the people present were clearly still in a state of tension and wariness, so there was no reaction.
"So, next, why don't we introduce ourselves in order of player number?"
Fu Chen said, looking at a slightly plump woman with flushed cheeks diagonally across from him.
The slightly plump woman nodded and took over the conversation, "Hello everyone, I'm No. 2, Jiang He. My original job was a newspaper editor..."
Lin Sizhi listened carefully to everyone's statements. Soon, everyone had finished their self-introductions.
Some were talkative, some introverted, and they revealed varying amounts of information to the outside world. However, at least their basic information, such as age and occupation, was fully disclosed.
No. 1 Fu Chen, male, 25 years old, online streamer.
No. 2 Jiang He, female, 31 years old, newspaper editor.
No. 3 Li Renshu, female, 29 years old, civil servant.
No. 4 Cao Haichuan, male, 39 years old, criminal investigation police officer.
No. 5 Cai Zhiyuan, male, 28 years old, algorithm programmer.
No. 6 Wang Yongxin, male, 36 years old, startup company owner.
No. 7 Qin Yao, female, 24 years old, fashion model.
No. 8 Su Xiucen, female, 52 years old, retired worker.
No. 9 Xu Tong, female, 32 years old, human resources manager.
No. 10 Ding Wenqiang, male, 53 years old, delivery driver.
No. 11 Yang Yuting, female, 27 years old, company executive.
No. 12 Lin Sizhi, male, 26 years old, lawyer.
As for how they arrived here, it was all more or less the same.
They all experienced brief amnesia, and after waking up, they found themselves in that pure white room, waiting two hours to obtain their visas and then come to the Community to check in.
However, no one mentioned any experiences related to "designing games to judge criminals" like Lin Sizhi.
Lin Sizhi was the last to speak, so he naturally omitted that part.
Fu Chen was silent for a moment, "So, what are everyone's thoughts on our current situation?"
