Defeat of Umbara (Part 2)
Ten minutes earlier, a Galactic Republic LAAT/I assault transport landed aboard the Acclamator-class assault ship Kent.
The hatch opened, and two Clone Troopers escorted down CC-2224 Cody, former commander of the 212th Attack Battalion. A clone officer aboard the ship looked Cody over, nodded, and said, "All right, receipt of CC-2224 has been confirmed. The charge is desertion in battle, resulting in severe casualties to his unit. You have the right to remain silent."
With that, several other soldiers walked over, roughly grabbed Cody, yanked him away, and threw him to the floor with a thud.
The two Clone Troopers escorting Cody were both members of the 212th Attack Battalion. They immediately stepped forward. "What are you doing!?"
"This is no longer your concern, soldier." The clone soldier aboard the ship stepped forward and raised his DS-15S Blaster rifle, pressing its muzzle against their chests to keep them back. "Your transport is now being requisitioned. Go find somewhere in the storage hold to rest until the ship lands."
"Yeah, that's right. Since your commander's a coward who deserted in battle anyway, you should be happy. At least you won't have to go to the front for now. Hahaha! Cowards!" another clone soldier mocked from the side.
"Bastards! Every last one of us in the 212th Attack Battalion is a good soldier!" the 212th Attack Battalion troopers roared.
"That's not for you to decide, kid." The clone officer drew his Blaster pistol and aimed it at their heads. "Now obey orders and get the hell to the storage hold!"
The men shoved and dragged one another toward the storage hold, while Cody was unceremoniously pushed toward the ship's brig, taking more than a few punches and kicks along the way.
