This surprised Darth Malthael somewhat. He had not expected Master Yoda to see at a glance that he was merely a decoy, much less recognize Arden Lyn's deeply concealed identity as a Dark Jedi Knight!
"Worthy of a master who has lived for eight centuries... No one can match your understanding of the Force. Not even my master," Darth Malthael said with a sigh. "Unfortunately, you are powerless to save the Jedi Order, and powerless to save the Galactic Republic."
"No need to concern yourself with that," Master Yoda said, his tone gradually turning cold.
He had not come to negotiate at all. He had come for only one purpose—to kill Darth Malthael! Or capture him and bring him to justice!
Darth Malthael smiled and drew the blue Lightsaber he used as a disguise. "Then let me introduce her. This beautiful lady is called Arden Lyn. She was the lover of Xendor, founder of the Legions of Lettow, during the first great schism of the Jedi Order over twenty-four thousand years ago... Surely the Jedi Order's records contain accounts of that history, yes?"
Master Yoda narrowed his eyes slightly, and his presence grew ever more imposing.
