Rendili's Fate (Part One)
Sehas, a staff officer in the Cona Planet Defense Fleet, was having a quiet drink in a bar within an offworlder settlement on Cona Planet.
After downing a glass, he let out a satisfied sigh and leaned against the bar, his gaze drifting toward several curvaceous beauties inside.
"Sir, you are our lucky customer today. You will receive a complimentary glass of our finest wine..." A voice suddenly came from behind the bar.
Sehas turned around and saw that the bartender had somehow been replaced by a short Bith. Before he could speak, however, the instant his eyes met the Bith's, he felt as though he had been sucked into a whirlpool!
"You are desperately short of money... and women... You want a large sum of money so you can indulge yourself properly..." A faint, ethereal voice said.
"I'm short of money, short of women... I want to indulge myself..." Sehas murmured, repeating after the voice.
"You accidentally obtained intelligence about Plan I from the Staff Department... The intelligence says that in seven days, the Republic fleet will attack a target..."
"I obtained intelligence about Plan I... The Republic fleet will attack a target in seven days..." Sehas's eyes were vacant.
"You will sell this intelligence to the Separatists in exchange for a large sum of money..."
"I'll sell this intelligence to the Separatists for money..."
"You have one last day of leave... Just enough time to go to Nal Hutta... Go..."
Sehas stood up woodenly and walked out while muttering to himself. "I obtained Plan I... I'm going to sell the intelligence to the Separatists..."
Once he stepped outside the bar, his expression had returned to normal. He scratched his head, got into his speeder, and flew straight toward the spaceport.
