"Activate communications jamming immediately! Maximum power! Cut off that transmission!" The moment Mace Windu saw Count Dooku, he knew something was terribly wrong.
First the Destruction, then the Tenebrous, and now Count Dooku?!
The mere existence of those three names was enough to crush the already incredibly fragile will to fight among the officers and soldiers of the Second Systems Army!
If those troops mutinied, there would be no point in fighting this battle at all!
"Count Dooku... the Tenebrous..." Mace Windu's expression turned utterly grim. He felt as though he had fallen into an unimaginably terrifying conspiracy.
Troublesome enemies kept appearing, and judging by the situation, they had come specifically for his Second Systems Army!
"General Windu! The Destruction's EMP cannon has been detected charging!" General Sophronos's transmission came through again.
The drawback of Mace Windu remaining in his fighter was now painfully clear. He could not keep watch over the battlefield and respond from the bridge at all times; every piece of information had to be relayed to him from the flagship.
"All bomber squadrons! Follow me! We're launching immediately!" Mace Windu shouted over the comms.
"General Windu! We've also detected... bzzzt... enemy... krrr~~~~" General Sophronos seemed about to say more, but the signal was suddenly hit by powerful interference. The image on the screen distorted continuously, and his words became completely inaudible!
Mace Windu's heart tightened. His instincts told him that Sefrans Tann's trump card had been revealed!
"Follow me!" Windu shouted over the comms. To ensure the message got through, he even used his powerful command of the Force to send the order directly into the minds of every pilot in the bomber formations.
Krrr~~~~~~~~ The communications were completely cut off!
