At Rendili Planet's spaceport, the enormous passenger ship lifted into the air, rising gradually on immensely powerful currents. Its massive bulk immediately dwarfed every other passenger vessel around it. Compared to this giant ship, even the AA-9-class ship, formerly the largest passenger vessel in the Milky Way Galaxy, was nothing more than a tiny speck.

The Leviathan-class passenger liner was 1,150 meters long and 240 meters high, its overall structure resembling a rectangular block with a pronounced hump. It could carry up to 50,000 passengers and store enough nutrient paste to feed all 50,000 of them for ten days. The ship was also fitted with eight tractor beams, primarily for cargo resupply, though they could be used for self-defense in an emergency.

The design of this ship was nothing short of a masterwork. Not only did it provide all 50,000 passengers with enough room to at least lie down, along with storage compartments capable of holding substantial personal luggage, but it also fully accounted for the eating, drinking, and toilet needs of such a huge number of people.

It included several thousand restrooms, a complex yet efficient wastewater treatment system, eight cafeterias with dedicated rapid food-distribution channels, an excellent ventilation system, and a convenient waste-disposal system. These allowed the 50,000 passengers to spend the five-day journey from the Rendili system to the Annaj system in at least relative comfort.

High-grade hyperdrive engines took up enormous amounts of space and drove costs to extreme levels. For example, a full quarter of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer's internal space was given over to the L-A2B engines produced by Sienar Fleet Systems. Thus, civilian vessels of this kind generally did not use particularly high-grade hyperdrives.

And the designer of the Leviathan-class passenger liner was—Willix Blythex!

At that moment, he stood atop one of the
