Darth Malthael said gravely, "Because this research will make some unknown entity hostile toward us. Or rather, that hostility may already have arisen, and we cannot afford a conflict yet."
An unknown entity? The purpose of our research is to turn the unknown into the known. The Geth said.
"If you wish to study the Force, you may. But it absolutely cannot be in the direction you have chosen now." Darth Malthael waved a hand. "I need to see your test data before I can determine exactly where the problem lies."
The test did indeed encounter problems, but we have recalculated and analyzed them. There are 3,409 possible solutions, which we will attempt one by one. We still cannot understand why the experiment must stop now. The Geth said.
"This underground nest built from chitinous carapace, where I am standing now—by your understanding, what do you think of this civilization?" Darth Malthael asked in return.
This chitinous carapace possesses the best toughness, ductility, hardness, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance currently known. We have conducted extensive research, yet remain unable to analyze its structure. The Geth answered.
"Then how many bodies have you found in this nest?" Darth Malthael asked again.
No bodies were found in this nest aside from the black crystal container. However, in the base above, we found seventeen corpses of large insects. These corpses had once been kept in glass containers, but the containers had been damaged. Their internal organs had completely decayed, while their shells remained perfectly preserved without the slightest corrosion. The Geth answered. These corpses have now been preserved by us.
