A Sudden Commission

Crash!! The bar wall was violently smashed open, and a bruised, battered man was thrown out. Then T-850's burly figure appeared in the gap. He grabbed a drunkard in each hand and viciously slammed them into the ground.

Bang!! The men were thrown into a daze, collapsing on the ground and vomiting up everything they had just eaten.

A few seconds later, another drunkard was kicked out of the bar and sent sprawling. Tang Xiao emerged with Cun Te, a bottle in one hand. The brawl had not lasted long. T-850 alone had beaten those drunkards so badly they would not recognize their own mothers, and Cun Te and Tang Xiao were not people to be trifled with either.

As a Legendary Class explorer, beating up a few thugs was nothing to Cun Te. Although Tang Xiao could not openly use the Force in public, swinging a bottle to finish someone off was no problem. Besides, he had been feeling stifled these past few days, and this was the perfect chance to vent all the resentment bottled up inside him.

"Fuck you! Looking for trouble, huh?! Looking to get beaten?!" Tang Xiao furiously spat out a string of Earthly curses, not caring whether they understood him or not.

Once the fight began, Tang Xiao found it difficult to control the anger in his heart. A faint golden glimmer flashed through his eyes, and all he could think about was tearing every one of them to pieces!

"You pile of... Bantha shit..." one drunkard stubbornly cursed back. With a crack, another bottle blossomed across his face in Tang Xiao's hand.

The beating left him feeling thoroughly exhilarated. The inexplicable negative emotions in his chest erupted all at once, and he let out a hysterical roar as though venting them all. "GET LOST!!!"

His voice was like a demon's howl. Though it was not loud, it sent a shock straight into everyone's souls!

Without even turning around, he raised a hand and slapped another drunkard trying to ambush him from behind, sending him flying! None of the bystanders who had gathered to watch the show cared why he could send someone flying several meters with a single slap, nor did they notice the thin arc of electricity on his palm. They had all been intimidated by T-850 and Tang Xiao's ferocity.

"Let's go back to the ship. We're heading for Mos Espa Port." Tang Xiao suddenly felt exhausted. He added one more kick to a drunkard's groin and said between breaths.

He looked around, and the onlookers quickly averted their eyes, not daring to meet his gaze. In this lawless place, strength was the best pass.

"They're from the Hedgehog Gang—a bunch of local punks who sometimes do work for Jabba. Let's go. They definitely have more companions. They might have gone to call for help." Cun Te kicked one of the men on the ground while skillfully searching them for valuables.

"You found that out pretty quickly." Tang Xiao smiled tiredly.

They headed toward Truda's ship berth. Pedestrians along the way stepped aside at the sight of them, not daring to approach. But as they passed a shack, a gloomy voice suddenly came from the shadows. "I have a job. Ten thousand Wupi. Interested?"

Tang Xiao turned around and saw only a green-skinned Falin woman leaning against the corner with a sniper rifle slung across her back.

He frowned and turned to leave, but Kunto pulled him aside and whispered, "Boss, Jabba only gave us two thousand Wupi for that last run. We took a huge loss. If we don't take on more work, we really won't even be able to afford fuel."

Cun Te gave a faint smile and walked over. "If you want to hire us, this hardly seems like the place for it, does it?"

"You're very capable, and you have a good ship. So I think you should be able to handle this." the Falin woman said.

Cun Te got straight to the point. "Then how much were you paid for this job?"

"That is none of your concern. I know Jabba withheld your payment for the cargo, and you need this money now. So? Are you taking it or not?" the Falin said coldly.

"Twenty thousand Wupi. And you have to tell me everything you know about this job. Otherwise, find someone else." Cun Te had dealt with people like this often enough to know exactly how to speak to them.

If it had been Tang Xiao, his first reaction would definitely have been to stay as far away from people like this as possible.

"Deal. Follow me." The Falin woman beckoned, then lifted a cover inside the shack, revealing a staircase leading underground.

After thinking for a moment, Cun Te exchanged a glance with Tang Xiao. He took the lead down after the Falin woman, with Tang Xiao and Kunto following behind. T-850 and Spade remained in the shack to guard the rear.

In the basement, the Falin woman took out a communicator and activated it. A hologram appeared before them. The person in the projection was thin and nearly two meters tall, looking as though a human had been stuffed into a pipe, squeezed tight, and then pulled back out.

He was a Muun, with deathly pale skin and a black cloak. His hood concealed the upper half of his face, while a mechanical breathing mask covered his entire jaw.

"These are the people taking the job, correct?" The Muun glanced at Cun Te and Tang Xiao.

"That's right. They're among the most reliable people we could find on Tatooine," the Falin woman replied.

"Very good." The Muun nodded. "I am Hego Damask II, your employer. Your job is simple. Go to Makito, pick up someone named Semir, and take him to Roon."

Hego Damask II!!! The instant he heard that name, Tang Xiao's eyes widened sharply! He hurriedly lowered his head to hide his emotions and keep anyone from noticing anything unusual.

Cun Te did not think much of it. He simply nodded and asked, "That's all?"

"I assure you, that is all. Of course, you should understand that if I am sending you to pick him up, others will be interested in him as well. If you succeed, you will receive generous compensation, as well as... the friendship of Damask Holdings Group." Hego Damask II said calmly.

"Then who will we be up against?" Cun Te asked again.

"This is an unofficial commission. Therefore, your opponents are everyone."

Cun Te considered it for a moment, then turned around to find Tang Xiao giving a slight nod. He answered, "All right. We'll take the job."

"I will send you Semir's information." Hego's gaze fell upon Tang Xiao. "Your companion seems to be... somewhat afraid?"

Tang Xiao's heart lurched, but he still did his best to appear relaxed.

"He's a new crew member. He hasn't seen much of the world yet," Cun Te said. "With Kunto and me on this run, there definitely won't be any problems."

"Good. Do not let a newcomer like that affect your mission. This is very important. You must arrive at your destination within eighty-nine standard hours," Hego said slowly.

"Of course," Cun Te quickly replied.

After the communication ended, the Falin woman placed a heavy bag in Cun Te's hand and warned, "There are five thousand Wupi in there. I'll give you the remaining fifteen thousand after the mission is complete. Time is short. You must depart immediately, and don't try anything clever! This is someone you cannot afford to offend!"
