Bail Organa closed his eyes in pain. Shaking his head, he crouched down and said softly, "Leia... I'm sorry... I can't take you home."

"Wh... why?" Tears finally spilled uncontrollably from Leia's eyes, streaming down her face. "Was Leia not good? Was Leia not smart enough? Or... does Father Organa not like Leia anymore?"

"No... Leia. You've been good, and you're very smart... We love you more than anything! You know that your adoptive mother, Breha Organa, can no longer have children. We've always treated you as our own daughter... We were even willing to let you inherit the entire planet of Alderaan! But... but..." A tear slid from the corner of Bail Organa's eye as well.

Princess Leia was once again sobbing too hard to speak.

"But Tang Xiao is right... Alderaan can't protect you. You're truly safe only on Dawn Star Planet," Bail Organa said.

"No... Leia doesn't like it here! Leia wants to go home, back to Alderaan! Leia wants to be with her adoptive father and mother!" Leia cried.

Tang Xiao had been watching coldly from the side the whole time, saying nothing.

"I'm sorry, Leia... I... I can't do anything..." Bail Organa finally said it. Then, unable to face Leia's heartbroken expression, he clumsily shut off the communication.

Long after the holographic projection before them had gone black, Tang Xiao lowered his head. Princess Leia's eyes seemed to have lost all light. She simply knelt there blankly, tears flowing endlessly down her face, yet without making a single sobbing sound. She just cried quietly...

"The Organa couple truly love you, Leia," Tang Xiao said slowly. "But if they want to love you, love alone is far from enough. They also need... power!"

"Wh... why?" Princess Leia asked softly.

"Because you are different from everyone else."
