2142, Cruel Suppression
In the capital of Rosha, Roshan Prime Minister Torres-Bore delivered an impassioned speech. "This is naked aggression by the Galactic Empire—plunder and robbery! They want to take everything we have accumulated over centuries! They want to sell us into slavery and ensure we can never rise again!"
"The Empire's intentions are already perfectly clear. We of the Trade Federation are the scapegoat for their military and economic failures! They cannot plunder the Outer Rim, nor can they plunder the Duchy of Dawn, so they have reached for us! And we have long been the Galactic Republic's most loyal partners!"
"The Galactic Empire is robbing its own people! They have no bottom line left! We cannot expect madmen like them to show us mercy! Our only path is to resist to the bitter end!"
"We cannot let our descendants live in lightless mines! We cannot let our future become nothing more than the Empire's dumping ground! And above all, we cannot let ourselves lose the dignity of being human!"
"We are right here! We will tell the Galactic Empire! You want our wealth? You want our resources? You want to sell us as slaves? Then turn Rosha into scorched earth and come take it from this wasteland—step over our corpses to claim it!!"
His speech rang out with force. In the square below, hundreds of thousands of troops roared like a tidal wave, while even more civilians screamed their defiance!
Even from afar, enormous Star Destroyers could be seen hovering in the sky, with dense formations of fighters rampaging everywhere as powerful ground-based anti-air defenses poured out their fiercest firepower.
Yet the soldiers and civilians in this square did not leave out of fear!
Because from the very beginning of this war, peace had no longer been possible!
