Mortis Monastery, the residence of "Father."
The griffin that Daughter had become gently clutched Tang Xiao and flew straight toward the towering monastery.
Entering from the top of the monastery, the griffin landed in a magnificent hall. At the far end stood an enormous triangular sculpture, with a sphere floating in midair on either side of the triangle. It represented balance.
"Father" sat solemnly before the sculpture symbolizing balance, deep in meditation.
A phantom stood before him. It was exceedingly strange. Tang Xiao merely glanced at it, yet felt as though his entire will and soul were about to be drawn in!
Daughter had already returned to human form and tugged Tang Xiao back. At the same time, "Father" withdrew the phantom. Only then did Tang Xiao recover from that momentary daze.
