The Cataclysm of a Hundred Thousand Years Ago

"Y-You... who are you?" Dr. Yako Vesti was utterly stunned.

"What happened?" A young man pushed open the door and entered, only to be immediately subdued by a Ghost Agent as well.

"Just a brat. He's worthless; he probably wasn't involved in the research," one Ghost Agent said coldly.

Seeing the Ghost Agent's finger about to pull the pistol's trigger, Dr. Yako Vesti shouted, "Please, don't! He's my son! I'll cooperate with whatever you want... just please don't hurt us!"

"Good. Obey, and there won't be a problem. Gather all the researchers. If even one is missing, this may be the last time you ever see your son," the Ghost Agent said coldly.

Dr. Yako Vesti had no choice but to comply.

Because funding for their project had been tight, there were only eight researchers in total. They were quickly all summoned and completely brought under the control of several Ghost Agents in the conference room.

"Y-You... what do you want? We're just an archaeological team, and our project has nothing whatsoever to do with military applications," Yako Vesti said.

"Tell me everything about the Mind-harp," the Ghost Agent said coldly.

"The Mind-harp?" Yako Vesti was utterly bewildered. He had never heard of such a thing.

"Don't play games with me. If you think this will let you muddle through, you may regret it." The Ghost Agent grabbed Yako's son and threw him to the floor.

His son was tall and powerfully built, yet the Ghost Agent handled him as easily as a chick.

The pistol was pressed against the back of the young man's head once more.

"No! We truly don't know what the Mind-harp is! You can check all our materials right now if you don't believe me, I swear!
