Miraculous Battle (I)
After arriving on Planet Five in the Rafa system, Dr. Yako-Vesti immediately led them toward his research center. As they walked, he said, "Then if my guess is correct, the Mind-harp was what the Saru people used to survive the Great Cataclysm a hundred thousand years ago."
"But it appears they failed." The lead scientist from the Duchy of Dawn was named Wang Tao. Looking through the window at the primitives outside shouting at the spacecraft overhead, he frowned. "If your theory earlier was correct, and the Toka people devolved from the Saru people, then that means they, like the Kilik Swarm, regressed into a primitive state during the cataclysm a hundred thousand years ago."
"If that's the case, then the Mind-harp shouldn't still exist." Dr. Yako said, "There must have been more to that cataclysm."
He continued onward until he reached a glass-domed room on the top floor of the institute. Pointing into the distance, he said, "Look. Those are the Saru Relics on Planet Five."
Looking out from the domed room, Wang Tao and the others indeed saw an endless plain, with more than a dozen enormous pyramids rising from its center.
Calling them pyramids was not entirely accurate, because these structures were not triangular, but square pyramids. They were also exceptionally tall—at least several hundred meters each. The tallest one in the center even reached a thousand meters!
"These things... We call them Plastic Pyramids because their material is extremely unusual. It blocks almost every kind of sensor scan we have. And despite being at least a hundred thousand years old, these pyramids have remained mostly intact," Dr. Yako said.
"The pyramid where the Mind-harp was found is the tallest one." Dr. Wang Tao pointed ahead.
"Let's go take a look. We have an
