2223, The Battle of Kato Neimoidia (Part 1)
Core Worlds, Kato Neimoidia.
A massive fleet had assembled far from the planet, positioned precisely at the edge of its gravity well. It had not entered synchronous orbit or maintained a trajectory synchronized with the planet's rotation.
This Galactic Empire's fleet consisted of 190 Imperial-class Star Destroyers, 80 Victory II-class Star Destroyers, and 3 Pursuer-class aircraft carriers. In addition, there were 30 Victory I-class Star Destroyers and Hunter Class Battlecruisers. Beyond that, there were more than 1,800 medium and small warships, including Vigil-class corvettes, DP-20 anti-aircraft gunships, CR-90 corvettes, Aquitenes-class light cruisers, Marauder-class frigates, and more.
In front of the fleet, countless fragments and wreckage drifted through space. The armed space stations and Gauss Defense Platforms in that region had already been cleared away by the fleet's overwhelming firepower.
But under normal circumstances, that alone was not enough to launch a frontal offensive against the planet. The planet was constantly rotating.
