A staff member rapidly typed away at her personal computer. After finishing a report and checking it over, she quickly loaded it onto a data cartridge and hurried toward the office.
But before she could enter, a mechanical arm reached out from behind and took the cartridge away.
General Kalani's towering figure appeared behind her. He inserted the cartridge into his reader, his electronic eyes flickering as he nodded. "I've been informed. Convene a meeting in thirty minutes."
"Yes!"
Peggy Carter, Director of the National Security Bureau, strode briskly into the conference room. She wore a civilian military uniform, an army-green shirt paired with a pencil skirt that made her look sharp and capable. Her long, wavy blonde hair fell over one shoulder, lending her a certain charm.
She came to the table but did not sit down. Instead, she braced both hands against it and said gravely, "I'll be attending the joint intelligence departments' meeting in one hour. Compile and report everything that's happened recently at once!"
"Over the past seven days, the Galactic Empire's Intelligence Department has been extremely active. The frequency of espionage operations has surged by more than a hundredfold compared with before," several intelligence officers began reporting.
"The spies' areas of activity are mainly concentrated on Rendili Planet, Annaj Planet, Yag'Dhul Planet, Eriadu, and traces of spies have even been discovered on Dawn Star Planet."
"Specifically, our traffic management and transportation logistics departments have suffered data breaches. However, our defenses were effective, and no critical intelligence was stolen."
