After Koruya-Vanderlon issued his statement against Rendili StarDrive, nearly everyone across the Milky Way Galaxy immediately understood that the Galactic Empire intended to replay on Rendili StarDrive what had happened to the Trade Federation!
However, the greatest difference between Rendili StarDrive and the Trade Federation was that Rendili StarDrive was now part of the Duchy of Dawn!
This move by the Galactic Empire was equivalent to reaching directly into the Duchy of Dawn's pocket. That was absolutely intolerable!
In legal terms, however, the Galactic Empire's actions were entirely justifiable. First of all, the Duchy of Dawn was ostensibly subordinate to the Galactic Empire, so Rendili StarDrive naturally counted as a company within the Galactic Empire. Furthermore, while Rendili StarDrive belonged to the Duchy of Dawn, it was not a state-controlled enterprise of the Duchy of Dawn.
That was right. Although Rendili StarDrive's chief director, Adele-Ulan, was the wife of Tang Xiao, Grand Duke of Dawn, the Duchy of Dawn did not directly hold shares in Rendili StarDrive.
