A large group of Reaper-class Light Cruisers had now charged into the Imperial fleet's formation, locking themselves in a brutal melee with vast numbers of Imperial warships.

Once the battle devolved into a close-range brawl, the Reaper-class ships no longer had to face the overwhelming frontal firepower of the Imperial-class Star Destroyers directly, giving them far more room to operate. In particular, the Aquitenes-class Light Cruisers and Vigil-class corvettes Gillard Perine had deployed at the rear of the formation realized something was wrong only after exchanging fire with the Reaper-class ships.
The moment they came under attack, the Reaper-class Light Cruisers began firing streams of rays laden with vast quantities of Nanobots, rapidly repairing nearby friendly ships. Not only that, several rapid-fire turrets had been installed where their cargo holds used to be, allowing them to unleash a barrage of immensely powerful shells in a very short time!
In one corner of the battlefield, a formation of ten Reaper-class Light Cruisers viciously charged toward a Victory II-class Star Destroyer. The Star Destroyer was already turning when it spotted the formation, and without hesitation, immediately swung its guns around and unleashed a volley.
The foremost Reaper-class ship was instantly engulfed in flames. Its main armor belt melted, and fires broke out throughout its internal systems. Yet almost at the same moment, several nearby Reaper-class ships fired pale green beams at it. The flames in the illuminated areas were swiftly extinguished, and the armor began repairing itself at high speed.
