For the past day, the fleet had remained quietly stationed ten light-minutes from the planet, utterly motionless.
After emerging from hyperspace at the target point, every warship silently adjusted its position and formed neat ranks.
As more and more warships arrived, the formation grew ever larger. Yet every vessel left an empty space at its very center, as though awaiting the arrival of a king!
A day later, all the Northern Fleet's main forces had completed their deployment, and the enormous gap at the heart of the formation became increasingly conspicuous.
At last, accompanied by an incomparably dazzling white light, a massive Titan warship appeared in an instant, stopping precisely at the center of the formation!
The entire formation was now complete. Even from ten light-minutes away, it radiated an overwhelming air of grim menace!
When the massive form of the Archangel-class Titan Warship appeared, Dunn Vesex, watching through optical sensor feeds in the underground command center on Palin-Minor, felt as though his entire body were trembling!
However, several Galactic Empire Navy officers beside him began whispering among themselves, their eyes equally filled with shock. What drew their attention was not how imposing the Archangel-class Titan Warship looked. What truly stunned them was its hyperspace jump, accurate to the very meter!
Dunn Vesex was merely a layman. He could be a politician or a businessman, but he was not a military commander. Yet his ignorance did not mean that the generals who had graduated from the Imperial Naval Academy were equally ignorant.
They could see that after other warships exited their hyperspace routes, they would all head toward their predetermined positions, usually flying several kilometers, sometimes dozens or even hundreds of kilometers. These were normal deviations produced after hyperspace jumps.
