"General! Sefrans Tann has arrived with her Titan warship!" Fleet Adjutant Rael Benting said to Admiral Thrawn, who was intently commanding the battle.
Thrawn's already stern expression immediately grew more grave. He took a small mechanical timepiece from his pocket, extremely retro yet exquisitely designed, glanced at it, and shook his head. "At least it's twenty minutes earlier than my worst prediction."
"The Separatist warships are retreating toward the Titan warship." Rael Benting pointed at the holographic battle map. "Those two Divinity-class battleships have already suffered severe damage. If we have the Lila fire another two salvos, we can definitely blast them to pieces."
However, Thrawn merely shook his head. "No. We know what a Titan warship can do, but we still don't know whether it can do anything else. Inform the Lila to abandon the salvo and immediately cycle its Deflector Shields. Divert all power to the shield capacitors."
Rael Benting nodded. "Yes! Divert all power to the shield capacitors immediately!" He understood Thrawn's reasoning as well.
Because Thrawn was indeed worried that Sefrans Tann would simply come in guns blazing and hit the Executor-class Star Destroyer with a Doomsday Weapon shot.
The Lila Super Star Destroyer had also been fighting at high intensity for four straight hours, while enduring fire from the high-energy laser arrays of five Divinity-class battleships for those same four hours.
