Traces of the God of Destruction
Jerec piloted the shuttle around the wreckage of the Revenge-class destroyer several times. From the surrounding conditions, it did indeed look like it had crashed after losing control. The warship had plowed a trench several kilometers long into the ground, its entire hull twisted into a Z shape by the impact.
Yet despite being smashed into such a state, neither the ammunition magazines nor the reactor—both highly prone to catastrophic explosions—had detonated. On the contrary, the rear half of the warship had been almost completely frozen over!
"It seems it really was Lord Hydra. Only she possesses such power." Sariss stared at the wreckage. "But... is she still alive?"
"You and Yun, go down and take a look," Jerec said coldly.
"Yes." Sariss nodded without hesitation.
Yun glanced at Jerec, then at Sariss. He let out an inconspicuous sigh and stepped behind Sariss.
This asteroid possessed an extremely thin atmosphere, with gravity roughly 0.6 times standard. Sariss and Yun put on simple breathing apparatuses, used the Force to shield their bodies, and jumped from the shuttle through its opened hatch.
Inside the warship wreckage, B-1 battle droids that had operated the ship lay scattered everywhere, along with several crew corpses. The entire warship had lost power, leaving it pitch-black throughout. Fortunately, the Revenge-class destroyer was not particularly large, and Sariss soon found their target.
The Grand Judge—Hydra.
But she was in a terribly miserable state. Suspended amid a large frozen expanse, her chest had been pierced by a metal fragment that left her hanging in midair. It seemed that, in order to seal the wound, she had frozen her own body. The ice around the wound in her chest had been stained red with blood.
"Lord Hydra!" Sariss cried out, quickly climbing up. She
