Scarif was located in the Abrion sector of the Milky Way Galaxy's Southeastern Territory. This sector was relatively isolated, with almost no stable hyperspace routes nearby, leaving it cut off from the outside world most of the time.
The planet had a diameter of 9,112 kilometers and was relatively small. Ninety percent of its surface was covered by ocean, and its natural scenery was breathtaking. If developed into a tourist planet, it would undoubtedly become a destination visitors flocked to.
After discovering this beautiful blue planet, the Galactic Empire built secret military and research bases there.
The only reason the Imperial military had set its sights on Scarif was the vast reserves of rare metals within its mantle, which could meet the demands of warship construction after extraction.
