Mid Rim, former Galactic Empire Thirteenth Army territory, Iskalon planet.
This was an ocean planet, its entire surface completely covered by seawater. The water temperature was moderate, the climate pleasant, and no native intelligent life lived on the planet.
Because the hyperspace routes here were extremely unstable, almost no other species had come to colonize it despite its location in the Mid Rim. After all, the vast majority of intelligent species in the Milky Way Galaxy were land-dwelling creatures.
It was not until five thousand years ago that aquatic species from other planets began settling here one after another and building their own colonies. A total of seventeen species came here, including familiar ones such as the Gungans, Quarren, Mon Calamari, and others.
The species settled here formed the Iskalon Alliance, declaring that they had broken away from their original peoples and would regard this place as their new Homeworld.
During their explorations, they discovered some extremely ancient Relics on the ocean floor. Carbon isotope analysis showed that these Relics had been built at least a hundred thousand years ago. Clearly, a civilization had existed on this planet at least a hundred thousand years ago. But for unknown reasons, that civilization had been completely wiped out, leaving Iskalon planet an unclaimed world.
And so, the Iskalon Alliance lived on this isolated paradise planet. They engaged in no external contact and paid no attention even to the former Galactic Republic.
But now, beneath Iskalon planet's vast waters, an enormous fleet was hidden.
