"What? We're sending in the main force too?" Silas Tagge blanched.
This fleet could be called his last hope. And now they were going to send all of it out to fight Orman Tagge's superior fleet to the death? How could that be possible?!
If he still had this fleet in hand, then Silas could at least still be considered a warlord, with some means of protecting himself. But if this fleet was lost here, then he would truly have nothing left.
"We have to make a choice now!" Cassio Tagge said sharply. "Their commander is extremely cautious. He has held back at least half his fighters. If we recklessly reveal our ambush under these circumstances, it will only hasten our defeat! Our only option now is to commit all our main fleet and make them believe this is our final strength. Only then will they send all their fighters in!"
"Is there no other way?" Silas Tagge panicked.
Cassio Tagge said solemnly, "The enemy is strong and we are weak, and their actions are extremely careful. This is already our only option. We must seek victory amid danger—now! Give the order, Family Head!"
Without warning, he handed the choice to Silas, catching him completely off guard. Under normal circumstances, this sort of military decision should have been made by him, the frontline commander.
"I... this..." Silas Tagge's body began to tremble. Cassio Tagge had placed the life and death of the entire fleet in his hands, and he, utterly unprepared for it, was completely stunned.
But Cassio Tagge's final words—"Family Head"—made Silas feel that it was only natural for him to make the decision.
Faced with this situation, however, he instead became consumed by hesitation.
