So, in the illegal backroom workshops that modified civilian ships, one often heard people discussing things like using the Kingdom of Dawn's precise fire-control systems, the Galactic Empire's cheap and effective turbolasers, the Confederacy of Independent Systems' highly autonomous intelligent AI, and Corellia Engineering Company's reliable, inexpensive spacecraft.
Oh! It would be even better if they could pick up some armor fragments blasted off a Kingdom of Dawn Hell-Angel Class Battlecruiser on the battlefield. Welding those fragments onto the outside of their own ships provided excellent protection.
