The Caladanians' raid almost immediately paralyzed the rear landing field base of Khoonda City. As the outer defenses were breached, more than forty thousand Caladanian warriors pushed directly into the base and began slaughtering everyone inside.
Huge quantities of the Galactic Empire's strategic supplies were blown up, the spaceport was damaged, and many unmanned war machines that had just been transported down were seized by the Caladanians, who turned their guns on the Imperial army.
Some Caladanians had undergone specialized training, learning to operate the Galactic Empire's main armored vehicles, including AT-AT walkers, AT-ST walkers, AT-AP walkers, and more. Basically, aside from the 1-H super-heavy hover tank, they could drive every armored vehicle currently used by the Galactic Empire.
These Caladanians were also equipped with Omni-tools loaded with decryption modules, intended to crack the system passwords of Imperial armored units.
Yet hilariously, they never got to use those preparations.
The reason was equally absurd—none of the Galactic Empire's vehicles were locked or encrypted! To meet the desperate demand for reinforcements at the front and get these armored vehicles deployed as quickly as possible, they had not been encrypted at all. Anyone could just jump in and drive them.
Thus, enormous AT-AT walkers could be seen charging wildly through the base, their massive mechanical feet crushing warehouses flat. Their powerful Turbolasers fired continuously, turning barracks after barracks into seas of flame.
Several captured 2-M assault hover tanks even gathered into formation and rolled through the base together, causing widespread destruction.
Even more explosively, a squad of Caladanians captured an HAVw-A6 Turbo Tank! This massive tank, still in service since the Clone Wars, was practically a land battleship with its 49.4-meter-long hull. Each of its five pairs of enormous wheels stood more than four meters tall.
The Turbo Tank simply plowed through
