The Empire Is Shaken Again
The Twelfth Army's rout could only be described as absurd, and it completely threw all of the Galactic Empire's strategic deployments into disarray!
According to their original plans, the Galactic Empire held nearly a fourfold troop advantage in the Eastern Territory. No matter what, they should have been taking the initiative and attacking, pinning down the Kingdom of Dawn's forces.
Moreover, the Galactic Empire had placed great hopes on the Eastern Territory war zone. They had hoped it could tie down most of the Kingdom of Dawn's logistical supply capacity, even the bulk of its mobile fleets.
That would ease the pressure on the Galactic Empire's other fronts.
For example, in the Northern Territory, the repeated tug-of-war along the Bilbrin Planet–Palanci Planet line had inflicted grievous losses on the Imperial fleet, leaving the Core Worlds' northern gate in peril.
Not only that, at the Core Worlds' southern gate, the Delon system fortress personally defended by Darth Vader also faced immense pressure.
With the fall of the industrial core world of Fondor Planet, the Delon system's defensive network had been forced to contract. The supply lines of Vader's fleet were continuously harassed by the Kingdom of Dawn task force. Since Fondor Planet lay on the outskirts of the Core Worlds, the Kingdom of Dawn's Black Ops stealth ships could now slip behind Denon Planet.
It could be said that the Galactic Empire felt mounting pressure from both the north and the south. Their only opportunity lay in the Eastern Territory.
Why the Eastern Territory?
One look at a flat star map made it obvious. The Kingdom of Dawn's controlled territories were ultimately located in the Outer Rim and the Mid Rim Territories. To reinforce the Eastern Territory, they had to cross almost the entire Milky Way
