Unlike the usual class designation plus warship type, these vessels have names formed by combining two nouns! They're part of a series!"
In the earlier skirmish in the Bilbrin system, one hundred Ravasa Fighter frigates had carried out a direct decapitation strike, destroying General Holt Strege's flagship—a 4,800-meter Archon-II-class battlecruiser—and killing a general at the very start of the war.
Those black-and-red warships, their designs modeled after crustaceans and hideously savage in appearance, had now appeared in even greater numbers!
This was another completely unfamiliar series of unknown warships. Their tactical logic far exceeded the Empire's existing intelligence framework, with formidable performance and incomprehensible technology. Such traits had actually already begun to show in the Ravasa Fighters. Those ninety-meter heavy frigates, acting as a group of one hundred, had destroyed a 4,800-meter warship!
And now, this technology had even produced capital ships—and deployed them in groups!
Marshal Oswald Tessik began to suspect that this might be a completely unfamiliar race, one that had likely developed to a considerable scale. Given the Kingdom of Dawn's previous actions, this race was likely another bizarre existence they had brought out of the Unknown Regions.
In other words, the Galactic Empire was not fighting a single civilization, the Kingdom of Dawn. It was likely fighting three or four civilizations at once, each radically different in style yet complementary in strengths!
"Withdraw in batches immediately! The remaining warships will continue bombing Bilbrin Planet!" Oswald Tessik made his decision. "The retreating ships are not to form up. Return to Scipio immediately!"
He had a massive force of one thousand Star Destroyers and over eight thousand small and medium warships under his command.
