Death Star!
The Death Fleet had already been driven into a desperate situation. Faced with General Grievous's frenzied assault, they could barely hold the line.
Without the cover of small and medium warships, even the Protoss Purifiers' carriers alone were more than the Death Fleet's Imperial-class Star Destroyers could withstand.
The Purifiers' unmanned Interceptors and Unmanned Bombers bombarded the Star Destroyers mercilessly. The bombers brazenly bypassed the strongest sections of the Star Destroyers' shields and savagely struck their engine sections.
The assault force led by the Archangel was equally unstoppable. The Doomsday Weapons led the charge, with Divinity-class battleships close behind. The Death Fleet's formation was torn apart at once.
The battle had lasted more than four hours. Having lost nearly two hundred Star Destroyers, the Death Fleet began splitting into three formations and fleeing into deep space.
Everything seemed to be going very well.
However...
Beep beep beep beep beep!
A piercing alarm rang out across the bridge of the Emissary!
[Your... Your Excellency Marshal...] The soldier operating the sensors stared blankly at the screen before him, then turned around in confusion to look at Matt Horner.
"What happened?" Matt Horner frowned and asked in a low voice.
[There... there are hyperspace fluctuations... the scale... has already exceeded the instrument's upper limit... estimated contact time... one hour.] The soldier muttered.
"One hour?" Matt Horner was startled. "Normally, we get less than ten minutes of warning before a hyperspace jump! Why is it like this this time?"
"There is only one possibility—the hyperspace fluctuations are simply too violent! I can't imagine what could be coming... Even an entire fleet making a hyperspace jump at once could never cause such a phenomenon!" the soldier said.
By now, even his body had begun to tremble.
Marshal Matt Horner's expression darkened at once.
