2924, Humiliation
The Galactic Empire's negotiation delegation arrived at Kira planet aboard ten disarmed Imperial-class Star Destroyers.
The delegation's representative, Koru D'ron, stood on the bridge. The moment they dropped out of hyperspace, the sight before him left him stunned.
Countless engineering vessels and transport ships were assembling around Kira planet. There were enormous industrial flagships as well as small, nimble construction machines.
The factories that had built prefabricated structures in space had already completed their tasks and were gradually being dismantled, yet their colossal scale was still plain to see.
Just half a month ago, this place had been a battlefield of utter devastation! Yet half a month later, it had already become a bustling construction site.
In truth, what shocked Koru D'ron most was not the immense scale of the industrial ships and space factories here. What shocked him most was the Fourth Empire's formidable capacity for execution, and its vibrant vitality.
Even the Galactic Empire at the height of its power had never displayed such a state. What it had possessed was more of a cold order imposed through intense pressure.
Yet here and now, on this planet that had once stood on the brink of destruction, busy engineering ships, orderly industrial flagships, and even vast numbers of commercial, civilian, and passenger vessels were all heading toward it.
They made this place teem with life.
Koru D'ron picked up his personal terminal and watched combat footage recorded during the Planet Kira Campaign. It was a video filmed from a bridge—in it, the Death Star's superlaser was continuously striking Kira planet, while a huge portion of the planet's surface had already been seared crimson by the laser's millions of degrees of heat.
When he received the Fourth Empire's request for negotiations, Koru D'ron had assumed the meeting would
