Sacrifice

A fierce battle between 6,000 and 20,000 forces erupted at once. On the scorching plains of Sarabin Planet, terrifying flames burst forth between two artificial armies.

B-1 battle droids held E-5 blaster rifles, forming lines with ten-meter intervals as they fired and advanced without pause. B-2 battle droids were somewhat more agile and carried even greater firepower, with twin blaster cannons mounted on their right arms. They raised their arms and fired almost continuously.

The droid army had not been programmed to seek cover. In fact, even during the Battle of Alaris satellite, when Sefrans Tann had ordered the droids to dig trenches, she had merely assigned them the two simple commands of "dig trenches" and "stand and fire from inside the trenches."

The Confederacy of Independent Systems' droid army relied on the overwhelming firepower brought by sheer numbers to offset its inability to use cover or fight in coordinated squads. Even a genius commander like Sefrans Tann could not change that.

But regardless, faced with a lifeless army and a sky-filling barrage of fire, almost no ordinary person had the courage to confront them, let alone launch a counterattack.

The only ones who could were—the clones!

The Clone Troopers operated in five-man squads, bringing tactics such as three-dimensional firepower, alternating advances, and dispersed combat to their absolute limit!

To guard against the enemy's terrifying Death Beams, they spread their formation wide, often keeping more than thirty meters between one another and adjusting their positions according to the battle at any moment. Once they encountered the enemy, the engaged unit immediately sought cover and provided fire support. Some squad members laid down flanking fire, some used heavy weapons such as rocket launchers from the rear, and others circled around to outflank the enemy. Their coordination was flawless!
