Anakin Skywalker stood inside Bravo Base, watching the Republic soldiers outside clean up the battlefield. They were roughly sorting through the robot wreckage strewn everywhere, then using bulldozers to gather it all together. Scrap dealers would later come and haul the remains away for recycling.

Elsewhere, several people were driving SCVs to move supplies out of the base warehouses. A few were even dismantling the communications antennas atop the base.

A Republic officer walked up beside Anakin and asked in confusion, "General, what are these people here for?"

Anakin Skywalker shook his head and casually replied, "Supply redeployment. This base no longer has any value."

"I... I understand..." The officer nodded, though he was clearly unconvinced.

"Did you find anything with the scan I had you run?" Anakin asked.

"There's a natural underground cave north of the base, but the scans didn't detect any unusual energy readings inside," the officer replied.

"Just tell me where the entrance is."

Half an hour later, Anakin Skywalker arrived at the entrance to the natural cave—the very place Count Dooku had entered several days ago.

It was the tomb of Ulic Qel-Droma, the former Sith Lord who had returned to the light in his final moments.

When Anakin had first come to reinforce Lorn Val, he had sensed that something was wrong with the planet. Count Dooku had even been willing to deploy a million troops to seize it. That was when Anakin had truly begun to take the matter seriously.
