The Fang-class battleship ultimately crashed headlong into Lundaria planet.

After the Jedi Knights destroyed the battleship's hyperdrive, General Grievous realized there was no salvaging the situation. He piloted his fighter, the Soulless One, away from the ship, but continued remotely commanding the Malevolence through communications, directing its final struggle.

Having destroyed the hyperdrive, the Jedi Knights had no intention of getting tangled up with the tide of rushing droids. They quickly fled the battleship through its loading platform.

Perhaps it was fate, but after the Jedi Knights escaped, the droid mechanics swarmed in and actually repaired the hyperdrive within minutes. Fortunately, Anakin Skywalker had been cautious enough to alter the navigation computer's data beforehand. When the Malevolence prepared to make the hyperspace jump, a calculation error sent it crashing directly into the uninhabited Lundaria planet.

Had General Grievous still been aboard the battleship, he might have had a chance to correct the error and save the precious super battleship, the Malevolence.

Unfortunately, General Grievous was already fleeing by then.

For the Galactic Republic, the crisis of the Malevolence had finally been resolved. Yet an even larger shadow continued to hang over everyone's hearts...

The Plague!

No one knew where things had gone wrong. Even though Darth Malthael had not sent the news to the Galactic Republic, word of this terrifying battleship and the Trigaliss planet massacre still spread throughout the Republic.

Under the deliberate embellishment of certain people, this tragedy, which had left over 300,000 soldiers and civilians dead or wounded, struck at the heart of every Republic citizen. The 14,100-meter super warship loomed over the Galactic Republic like a nightmare. The 15th Army's sluggishness and helplessness in the face of the Plague's surprise attack also became the target of widespread condemnation.
