After Darth Tenebrus left, Darth Malthael raised a hand and sensed the Dark Side Force.
If the Force throughout the entire Milky Way Galaxy were to be described now, it would be a vast ocean filled with light.
Yet above that ocean hung a layer of dark clouds, blocking the bright sunlight and preventing its warmth from reaching the seawater that should have been warm.
The seemingly bright ocean was gradually losing its warmth.
And deep beneath the sea were two undercurrents, two swirling vortices that constantly turned and grew. Though they crushed against each other in the process, they still drew upon the ocean's own energy and gradually became more violent.
The seemingly tranquil sea could drag anyone into its whirlpools with the slightest misstep, leaving them unable to escape forever.
Darth Tenebrus had been resurrected, yet had not truly been resurrected. The ocean of the Force had not changed much. There were still only two undercurrents: the enormous one called Sidious, and the small yet steadfast one called Malthael.
Destiny was not upon Tenebrus, at least not yet.
Darth Malthael understood that Tenebrus had treated him with such respect after his resurrection because, in that instant, he had already seen through destiny.
But no Sith Lord should ever be underestimated, especially one who had created someone like Darth Pregas.
A reef had appeared beneath this sea. So dark that its shape was nearly impossible to make out, it was tiny, yet it continued absorbing every small stone stirred up by the two vortex undercurrents on the seabed, gradually growing.
Under the influence of this small reef, the sea of the Force seemed to have grown a little more turbulent.
The Force had a will. This was something Tenebrus had taught Darth Malthael for more than a decade. It
