Nonhuman War (Part 2)

After Depa Barris joined the battle, she destroyed a large number of droids, while Luna Dream and Luna Phantom hung back and took it easy. A battle of this scale was not worth them using their full strength.

They took out specially made miniature Lightsabers and continuously hurled them with the Force. The Lightsabers flew everywhere as if they had eyes, piercing through one droid and Balawai after another. Whether they hid behind cover, inside watchtowers, or even within houses, none escaped death.

On the other side, Carl Vasto was like a ferocious beast, wielding two shields and crushing everything in his path. Blaster bolts and energy beams were blocked by his shields, sometimes even deflected back. Then he would charge forward and smash down with a shield, leaving his victim with barely an intact corpse.

Under their incomparably brutal assault, the Balawai's will to fight collapsed, and they fled in all directions.

Once all the droids had been destroyed, the battle was over. The camp had been completely taken. Carl Vasto had his men load everything of value from the camp onto the captured Speeders, bring the prisoners aboard, and clear the battlefield.

Every wounded but still living Balawai was executed on the spot.

Depa Barris saw Carl Vasto stalk toward an unarmed old man with a savage expression and hurriedly stopped him. "Enough, Carl! He can no longer resist!"

Carl Vasto turned back, his face twisted with rage. "All Balawai must die!"

Before he had even finished speaking, an Akk Guard beside him immediately opened fire, blowing the old man's head apart. The spraying blood nearly covered the entire wall behind him.
